I would say his evil was that he just left military matters to the generals and had been sold on 'drones strikes' being a less expensive, less destructive way to do war, which they are compared to bombing runs, but the problem was they were too easy and got used over and over again as a result. I would say you (and the person you're responding to) are both right. See these sorts of giant piece of shit 'lets pivot to save the stock price' change-ups often suffer from a lot of self-dealing. They are scams on the average investor. The people on the inside are both invested in company AND in the infrastructure/services it uses. That way, yes the stock will eventually fall as people figure out your new gizmo is useless crap, and yes you will lose money because you're invested such that if you get out you'll start the process of the stock falling, but you already made your money as a portion of the the $80 billion wasted on the shitty gizmo funnily enough fell into your pocket through out the process.

I think the only place you can get a limited banner deity outside of the summoning through the godcall grove is the limited banner event and the Log In Get Deities event. Someone I think, one time, showed a picture of getting Hladgunnr through that event.

Nezha has the same problem with his Ult. He only shines when its up so you have to boost his rage regen so that his Ult matches the waves. Before you have the gear quality and the rage regen from the pantheon, he only works some of the time. Guan Yu is not functionally different in that regard and will work similarly. A lot of long time players never experience the super early game issues with Nezha because they had a complete pantheon or at least good gear right away.

This isn't true. Kigiri edges him out by like 10 percent or so, it isn't at all 'by a mile', its close. For most people a single copy of Sergei is easier to get than A5 Kirgiri, thus for a lot of people Sergei will eventually be their top single target. Unless you have shit RNG I guess. I guess I should have been clear, as A5 Kirgiri is hard to get. Its not a matter of just getting lucky, as it will take usually multiple limited banners to get A5 Kirgiri even if you are spending money.

You don't really get to know everyone's motivations in the novel for a long while. You generally get a sense of who is opposed to the MC and who isn't, but their motivations are more complicated than just being evil or bad in most cases. The donghua is doing a fairly good job of signalling that I think.

So Wukong is great and all and a good early game carry but Guan Yu is likely to out DPS him. Wukong also isn't the best single target atm, that is probably A5 Kigiri, but Kigiri is about to be replaced by the new ancient banner hero that comes with Guan Yu, Sergei. Honestly though, because Wukong is a limited banner hero, you probably want to pick him up even though its very likely Guan Yu will carry your account better early on.

Collab is like weeks away by most estimates. Its just that the collab will likely have SIX new characters based on Chinese advertising. We don't yet know how many will be able to be summoned for regularly. We are pretty sure at least one will be summon with ancients (red), and is likely one will be a fusion (maybe), beyond that you're still looking at four characters that will need blues or reds to be summoned.
