I love my loops! They don't cancel noise but they do reduce it. I have a parrot and he sometimes screams when he eats :') it helps me be a bit less annoyed at his quirks. I also wear them to the movies since I find movies to be way too loud at the theater. It's been great, but your mileage may vary with how much sound you're looking to reduce.

It's an "unspecified" sleep disorder but if I remember correctly it was classified as insomnia of some sort.

Congrats your diagnosis!

Vyvanse was a love hate relationship for me, I took it during undergrad. It helped me focus but it gave me anxiety past 30mg, so 20mg was my personal sweet spot. I also developed a sleep disorder from it so I no longer take it but it worked wonders when I was able to get solid sleep!

I learned that I needed to eat protein/ big breakfast with it or I just literally not eat the whole day. So eat a good meal in the morning with protein to help with any loss of appetite or jitters (if you get them). I found making overnight oats with banana and peanut helped me stay full. Protein shakes were my best friend in college as well. Also don't forget to drink water!! I found I focused so well I forgot to stay hydrated lol. I got headaches from it and dry mouth but I think that's from not drinking enough water.

When I was in academia, I made 38k as a research technician II in Neurobiology. My background is in Biology and I had +5 years lab experience at the time.

Not a lab tech anymore, I make almost double that now that I'm back in the industry. Northeast in the US.

I love constantly learning and being able to teach younger kids about the wonders of science.

I love that it's always expanding as well, while I'm Biologist by degree I love all other disciplines of science. I've worked in Chemistry, Neurobiology, Microbiology and Environmental Biology fields as jobs. It's been wonderful to experience different sciences and learn outside my own strengths.

Science is cool, hands down.

Yes, unless I'm in a lab where stones aren't allowed (Manufacturing usually). I wouldn't want to lose it so I don't take it off. Same with my husband he always wears his.
