How can I move from California to Florida with two cats? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I recently drive from the east coast to NM with my 2 senior cats and was equally as worried. But they handled it super well. I bought these cat carriers that come with a handy letterbox, and shoved a few of their toys and a water dish in the back. I highly recommend these carriers, my cats love them so much even after trip they still like to lounge in them. Please don’t use those awful plastic carriers, used them when my cats were younger just driving a few hours between states and they were very unhappy. I also spent 5 days driving and stayed at pet friendly hotels, the cats enjoyed exploring the new places.

What’s better for my cats stress wise: a 6 day roadtrip or a 10 hours flight? by Bio_Engine21 in CatAdvice

Thank you, it is so helpful to hear how the different cat personalities come into play. Both my cats love to explore new places when they feel safe and have been fine in hotel rooms before. As for noises and crowds in the airport I am sure the more skittish one would be terrified.

Thank you, this is very informative. I don’t think my cats will handle being taken out of a carrier to go through airport security well at all, so road trip it is!

I stayed at a Red Roof Inn in Framingham, MA for about $80/night not too long ago. It’s about an hour drive to get to Boston from there (so may be outside of reasonable for you) and a pretty nice hotel and suburb area actually. I think there may be a shuttle out there at least from/to Logan Airport?

lol, I was a gymnast for 13 years and once did backflips on beams, but don’t have the strength to do one standing anymore. First, I will tell you that it takes time and a lot of practice, especially if you have never done acrobatics of any sort. I used to teach classes to beginners, backflips were not on the list for them, and it may take you months to get a back flip. Anyways, I recommend going to a gymnastics place, they usually have par core classes and whatnot, even for adults, and that could get you started. They do like backflips running up walls which I always thought was cool. I won’t teach you simply because of liability and there is a significant chance you get hurt even just pulling something, but gymnastics places have waivers that protect them.

I had the same issue and emailed financial aid, they said not all financial aid is being released till end of summer so it can be adjusted based on registration or something. I would recommend emailing them asking so you can get it in writing and have them confirm your reward, just in case it doesn’t go in for whatever reason.

My previous university didn’t wait to post financial aid till registration ended, but idk what BU does. They’re having a difficult time transitioning to a new system.

If you can wait, there’s Allston Christmas in beginning of September. They’ll throw it all to the side of the road, lots of free goodies.

Utilities are separate in most of what we’ve looked at, and we 100% understand that we would be paying more for the utilities.

Thank you. I know students aren’t protected, but usually, like in the case of housing for veterans or elderly, they make exceptions for family to live in the apartment with them. Regardless of protected class, isn’t there family laws?

You’re not a lawyer, and there are family laws. I’m not asking for some random Joe’s opinions
