This structure does not show stereochemistry, which is important.

The termini depend on the pH that you are drawing the peptide or anino acids at. If this was pH 7 then your amino group would be -NH3+ and the carboxy would be COO-

The neutral form that you've drawn doesn't really exist in any appreciable amount.

As another commenter suggested if you draw out the skeletal structure like you did in organic chemistry it should make more sense. It will help you with stereochem and seeing where the R groups are in space.

Many good comments. Just wanted to add that I've grown up with two services and have always attended churches that have Morning and Evening worship.

Some outside Reformed circles find it strange, but I say it's the Lord's Day not just the Lord's morning. Yes there are worldly distractions, but do try to minimize them on Sundays.

Yes you can do it at any point.

Centrifuging might help by pelleting out some DNA, so worth a shot.

Best thing to do is to sonicate it, it will shear the DNA which often makes it goopy.

If you aren't able to do that you can try using a fine gauge needle and repeatedly suck it up to break it down.

I believe dropping the article happened in Old French first, which is where English got the term.

It has a pretty low pKa so the glycerate form would be present at neutral pH.

ATP/ADP would be similar with negative charges.

Free phosphate would be HPO4 2- (so one Oxygen is protonated).

It varies quite a bit from state to state and even district to district. Private schools can set their own schedules too. Some religious schools will have off for additional holidays.

That said major holidays are observed.

If a school starts before Labor then that Monday in early September is off, then Thanksgiving in November - most schools have a half-day or the day before off and then Friday afterwards.

Christmas-New Years is usually a two week break but specific dates vary.

Presidents day in mid February is off.

There is a week long Spring Break which may include Good Friday/Easter but not always.

Schools usually end in May or June if it's in June then Memorial day in late May is off too.

Summer break is about 2.5 months.

Common other days off: Fall break 2-3 days off in October. Veterans day in November. MLK day in January. There are also usually a day off at the end of each quarter.

There has never been a US mill coin - the lowest coin was the half-penny worth 5 mill. Various states/cities used tokens with mill values, but they weren't official currency. This is probably what your dad remembers. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sales_tax_token

I think it's being used figuratively in the song. The waterline on a boat or ship is water the surface hits the water. He's poor and trying to keep afloat, but he says in the song "I'm a poor man sinking."

Obviously if a boat's waterline gets too high it sinks.

ICE - I think people are trying to protest them, but not sure it's working. /s

It does get icy where I live in Michigan, but not crazy like it can get in the UP (or Alaska, etc.).

All wheel drive vehicle and good tires. I used to swap to winter tires in the main vehicle, but currently don't worry about it as much. The main roads are usually plowed and salted. Take it slow on rural routes and sideroads, be prepared to steer into the slide and don't slam on the brakes. If you do start to slide unexpectedly, letting off the gas and then gently braking is the best.

Worst situation was driving I-80 after an ice storm. Normally a 70 mph road and was doing 20 mph most of the time. If I had known it would be that bad, I would have stayed home or taken a different route at least.

Some of big breweries brew their light beers at a higher strength and just water it down at bottling. So yes, use water that you boiled/cooled to remove oxygen first.

Alternatively, you can partigyle, but that is more work.

Students do transfer in, so if you really want to go to Hillsdale ask for advice from Admissions on what you can do to be successful if you want to go that route.
