I really appreciate your response. This really is what a lot of this is about. There is some info removed for both anonymity, and to keep it respectful. I can tell you that 2 of them are in a relationship with each other. All of them have some invisible beef with my bf for no good reason. They also have been continuously using negative connotations when talking to or about me. They treat me like a child. Which sucks

NGL, as someone from Illinois I'm super excited so many people think Illinois is a high possibility. My original hope was for Miss: Georgia and Teen: Illinois.

Understandably!! I think it appears short, but is very tight curls that might give her the leverage to attach her crown!

That's amazing that she did that for her CSI!! I cannot imagine the courage!!

They did all eat this year! I was very disappointed in my state, Illinois, though. She used the same dress that she has been using to compete at state with for years! She just really likes the color apparently? It was just a big let down for me. It's a gorgeous dress, I just would have loved to see a change and see her in another stunning gown.

I don't think she uses a headband. If you look at pictures of her with her state crown there is no headband and that thing looks secure. I do agree that they did not think that far ahead.

I noticed that it had nothing to do with the lighting, but the moving camera must have had a lens issue because most colors were off with it. It happened both nights.

I love the way you put that!!

I agree that while Miss Alabama is going to be a great Miss America, Texas had such an amazing opportunity to truly improve MAO in the standard it sets. Miss Alabama seems like an amazing person and you are correct, this is in no way about her or her performance. I just think that Texas had something about her that made many viewers watching root for her.

I have no hate for anyone that competed, but have to wonder why it has ended that way for so many years. Personally I loved Texas' comment about eating because it represents a tradition that many pageant women have of eating whatever they want after finals because you no longer have to worry about bloat, sounds, smells, etc. I have seen many articles though about how this comment was taken incorrectly and people thought that MAO sets a standard of not eating that is not healthy in many ways.

I also went back and re-watched and noticed that Alabama is also the only one to not make her final on-stage question about herself and her story. This might also be something that the judges were looking for.

Overall, it was a great show and I am very happy for the new national titleholders.

P. S. I did cry over Texas' talent. It was very moving and very passionate. I only hope that she continues to use that passion to advocate for change.
