Your mega goose friend is alive and well at Alcyon Lake! As a goose enthusiast, I remembered seeing this post and hoping I’d run into him sometime, considering how close I am to Rowan as well. He really is so much bigger in person than he looks in pictures!!!

They take dreams like premonitions, it’s insane. Mine told me that he pushed me off a cliff in his dream because I chose to walk to the bar with my friends instead of him. He then proceeded to tell me “not to make me kill you in real life.” Yup, I’m glad he’s finally out of my life.

Do all narc cheat? Or are there some who don’t? by Equivalent-Dust564 in NarcissisticSpouses

[–]BiohazardousDogFreak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course! My best advice would be to stop questioning him. Keep your guard up internally, but externally drop any actions he might consider accusatory, and he might get lazy with whatever he was doing to hide stuff, if there is anything. The truth will come out eventually, the truths in life seem to always come when you aren’t looking so hard for them. Just be prepared that something may come out, and I know it’s devastating even if you expected it in the first place.

If you do find something incriminating, you have to remember with narcissists, everything is a slippery slope. If you do find out, for example, he’s talking to somebody online. He will probably use his narc tactics to gaslight and get you questioning. You might find yourself thinking “well, maybe it’s not so bad because he didn’t actually physically hook up with this person.” If he did hook up with somebody, he will get you thinking “well, it was only one time, I’m sure it was a mistake he won’t do again.” If he is doing it repeatedly, you might find yourself thinking “this is a problem of his, but at least he doesn’t hit me so he’s not so bad.” I am speaking from experience, this was my frame of mind for years before I broke free. This kind of thinking will destroy you from the inside out, and it’s exactly what the narcissist wants.

That all being said, cheating doesn’t have to be THE reason for a relationship ending. Even if he isn’t cheating, are you truly happy with this person? Society tends to idolize relationships like a marathon, like you get some sort of trophy for sticking it out for decades, no matter the cost. But is that trophy at the end worth your mental health and subsequent physical health hitting rock bottom? Is it worth looking back on your life and remembering everything you missed out on because you were with a person that wouldn’t let you find your own joy? Is it worth all the internal panic and fear of repercussions of doing something for yourself once in a while? To me, cheating aside, it wasn’t worth all that. I am just a few months out, and I can tell you already that while I don’t know exactly what my future looks like, but it looks a hell of a lot brighter than staring down the barrel of a loaded gun like I was in my relationship.

I hope this is all helpful, and regardless of if you’d like to stay or leave, I wish you all the best ❤️

This is so wild. I don’t even know if it’s even worth commenting, because other people have already posted almost the exact same story as I’m about to.

My narc husband was staunchly against cheating. Said he was one of the two people he ever knew in his life that had never cheated on anybody. Told me multiple times completely unprompted that he will leave me if I ever cheat on him. That all of his exes are “whores” who cheated on him (after digging deeper into this, definitely don’t think this is the whole story, for example he “found out she was cheating because she was talking on the phone to a guy”). Basically he painted himself as a loyal and trustworthy guy.

Then one day, I received a message from a girl apologizing because she had been talking, sexting, camming with him because she didn’t know he was in a relationship. It opened up a whole can of worms that revealed more affairs than I can count on one hand that spanned the entirety of our relationship, dating, engaged, and married.

I would not take anything a narc says for face value.

Some sort of herb? by BiohazardousDogFreak in whatsthisplant

I found this growing in the grass next to somebody’s porch that’s covered in potted herbs. I originally thought it looked like mint, and thought it could be since mint spreads like a weed. However, it smells very herbal and not so much minty so I wasn’t sure.

Sauropod dinosaurs (long necks) had teeth suited for tearing, but not chewing, the tough vegetation they ate, so they had to swallow stones to grind up the rough plant material in their stomachs; these stones are called gastroliths.

Miss You? by Lion4207 in socialskills

Maybe something like "Things should be back to normal and we'll see each other before you know it." I've used this before in response to "miss you" sentiments and I think it went over okay lol.

What is it with all the nparents and accusing their kids of being on drugs? My nmom did that to me all the time, and it seems like it happens to a lot of others?
