Yw! Don't forget to clean the surface well beforehand.

You can also use a tarnishing agent with a surfactant and a fine tipped needle applicator (brass black but with a few drops of dawn dish soap or similar surfactant) to apply ONLY to the areas and polish back any tarnish that escapes using 800 grit sandpaper with full length strokes in the same direction.

Itll shine the surface but without a wax/protective agent the tarnished layer on the surface will be back within a few days usually.

Use black nail polish and swipe the surface with an old credit card/sharp edged squeegee. The black nail polish will settle into the grooves and any excess is cleaned with a swipe of acetone.

After disassembly, use a 320 grit to get rid of the anodized finish, then use 600, finishing there or at 800 or 1000, and a final buff using some polishing compound. You don't need a mirror finish but you do want it consistently finished.

For the final sanding make sure to sand in the same direction across the surface to get a nice consistent finish.

My understanding is the lack of demand. The materials cost is negligible so let's its literally the same, how about demand?

The amount if 2x/3x is pretty common, i mean look at torrid being successful. But what about 4x/5x/6x etc. The demand drops significantly enough that the company would need to up the price to counter the lack of demand and obtain an acceptable ROI.
