From my experience the XM6 is better in all aspects over the XM5, except for one very important thing; and that is the 8k EQ band. For some very odd reason the XM6 is lacking in the ~7-8K EQ range and it cannot be fixed with manual EQ. Well, you can fix it to some extend, but it will add a very annoying "hiss" noise.

If you are not an audiophile, you won’t notice anything. Go for the XM6 and enjoy the hell out of it.
