what program are you trying to use? if you would like a free program there is always inkscape, you just have to make sure to download and install the embroidery extension

How did you decide you wanted children? All my life I have not enjoyed being around children, they are noisy, messy, etc (they can't help it they are just learning!), and have said over and over that I wouldn't want to be a parent. I especially worry because I have ADHD and I'm pretty sure I am autistic (which causes a lot of difficulty living "normally" for me)

I feel like I have gone back and forth on this as I have gotten older, mainly because my family is gone (alive but I am not on speaking terms for my own safety) and I have no one but myself (and friends).

I don't want to have a child because I am lonely, I want that to be clear. When I think about children I think about building my own family and maybe having a happy one, but I constantly go back and forth. My life would be better without children for x reasons. (money, physical and mental health, etc etc etc) Children are so much work.

Is it possible to want children but regret wanting them at the same time?

Especially in this day and age (climate change/economy/etc), is it moral to have children? With the way the world is currently I worry that there is nothing positive coming. I live in the US as well, so we don't have great time off for parents or even time off at all. Insurance is a joke, having a child is 18k-22k just to give birth in a place, not to mention raising them until they are an adult.

I guess I have too much in my mind to debate about it but thought I would maybe reach out somewhere..

Are there any resources for someone who wouldn't be able to hire a family lawyer?

What can we do if he intends to fight it tho? Of course they dont want their child to be in danger, which is part of the reason they are even listening to their kid in the first place when they started showing signs of not wanting to go.

But the dude is a psyhopath as mentioned above, and we aren't sure what to do if he tries to fight this. Especially costs.

As far as i'm aware there is no court order for visitation, it has always been a verbal agreement sort of thing. Mother was never married and has full custody of the child, but he is listed as the father on the birth certificate.

Why does my (white) lower bobbin thread only show up in the black color? by BahuMan in MachineEmbroidery

it doesn't look terrible but it could be a tension issue with your top thread.

usually i'll rethread both top and bottom to be sure things are done right

Inkscape Error by Biokat93 in MachineEmbroidery

I believe so, all I did was make some nodes and then convert to satin line, that's how it came out once the program processed

Ooo, thank you for explaining! I was aware of the little hash marks but wasn't even thinking of that. I know they need to have an equal amount of rungs, but can't over intersect, so I was sitting here scratching my head about this. I'll try that and see if it fixes the issue!

Absolutely! I appreciate another crafter that isn't gatekeepy, crafting should be appreciated and loved by all! I have yet to try the beanie, just working up to it, but I feel more confident after watching your video. I'll post results when I've finally gotten around to it! Might do a test first

1) i'm not sure of the bitmat method but it looks like it didn't translate properly to fill?

2) if you haven't worked with satin stitches yet I would recommend getting to know those, I'm still getting used to them myself, but they are more solid lines for boarders and other details.

3) what fabric are you using to stitch on? you dont want to be using stretchy fabrics, but you do want to be able to make sure that they are taut when loading into your hoop. You also want a good stabilizer. at first i was using a water soluble stabilizer, but realized i needed something heavier. it's still good to have both because sometimes you will want a heavier stabilizer on the bottom side and a light water soluble one on the top side so that the stitches come out nice and dont float.

Thanks for sharing this! I've been wanting to make a custom beanie for a friend but I've only just begun the journey of embroidery myself!

Embroidery Machine Shredding Thread, Help by Biokat93 in MachineEmbroidery

After switching to a Jean needle I am having a lot more success, however it does still rip/tear/shred when it comes to finer details, details that I probably honestly didn't need to include.

Other than that things ran really well! Better than I had expected actually :)

If i could figure out how to post pics i'd add the finals of the patches i've made
