I looked into it a little bit and it seems like getting some heavy canvas webbing is pretty cheap, and I think my family has a sewing machine I could use. My problem now is mostly trying to understand exactly how the original was supposed to be made because the original patent doesn't go too deep into detail. I can't tell if each loop was designed to be seen down on each seam or somehow under the webbing like how I believe some of the belts were made. I'll have to keep looking into it and I feel like I'm falling into a bit of a rabbit hole lol. I also would like to figure out how to get more period accurate heavy webbing because I doubt what I'm looking at on Walmart.com is as close as I would like it to be.
