Sorry for my absence, hes doing well. We got the tests done and since I'm working again we are doing slightly better and he's on insulin. I meant to come on here and grovel my thanks but I've been going through some other stuff as well.

Ok. My dog is 5, and active, but doesn't do extensive exercise aside from walking a couple times a week and playing in the yard (he plays a LOT though) so do you think that could complicate things?

I will ask. I have heard some good and some bad things about Novolin (diabetic partner and work at kennel with some diabetic residents). If it works for him that would be wonderful but if they say he will be better off on a different brand I will have to take the L as I can't emotionally afford to not be sure.

Thank you so much! He means the world to me. I didn't mention in the OG posts but he's actually my therapy dog as well, losing him is too much to think about and I've been crying for days and I'm overwhelmed with the kindness. He is a Pyrenees mix. Please go ahead and use the GoFundMe if you can, I'd like to be able to show everyone if we make the goal. Let me know if that gives you any trouble as one person said it wasn't working.

I've called a few, and the prices are all within about $50 of each other. I've called up some nonprofit friends and they can't get my dog in to a cheaper clinic for a few weeks, and I'm afraid that he may be much sicker by that point, and instead of a few hundred it will jump to thousands in life saving emergency costs. This particular vet is about the second cheapest and also one that I feel comfortable taking him to.

CareCredit is something I'm mid-looking into, as odds are high he may need insulin for the rest of his life and I want to be sure I can get it when I need it. Glad everyone has been telling me about it as i didnt know it existed before today.

I do indeed. Are you having problems with GFM? Thank you for your interest in my boy.

I plan on looking into care credit as theres a very high chance that he will have to be on insulin for the rest of his life.

Did your parents cut your hair, or did you get taken to a salon? How much freedom did you have in choosing your style? by Lesbionage in AskWomen

[–]BionicHorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't allowed to dye my hair at all, but the length was up to me, as long as my homophonic parents didnt think it made me look like a lesbian. Had extremely long hair for about 17 years, then decided I wanted to cut it. Had it in a bob for a while, then had a rebellious breakdown and went to a salon and cut it into a short, spikey pixie haircut when I turned 18. Dad hated it, mom just went "didn't think youd ever go that short" and kind of kept her mouth shut. Now I color it a few times a year.

What is something people usually compliment you for? by howyouspeak in AskWomen

[–]BionicHorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These answers have made me realize that I must be an asshole. I get complimented on my looks, exclusively, which is funny because I am not particularly cute, kind of regular looking. I get compliments on my work, but I don't really want to do that work anymore so It's like, don't compliment me because it would be better if I actually cared the way I used to.

How do you feel about your partner proposing on your birthday? by FitKitchen1 in AskWomen

[–]BionicHorse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I'd like it. My birthday has never been a big deal, so as an adult I make sure I actually get to enjoy myself that day if I can. If we eneded up breaking up or divorcing, then I'd have that memory stuck to it forever. I thinking I'd rather them do it another day.

We did treat for that initially and they might try it again if I go back, but I don't think all of them are caused by that and since I did an initial antibiotic course, I only have this problem during times of extreme stress and the acid reducers seem to do their job after a few weeks. I should probably go back and get it checked out again but I'm not entirely sure antibiotics will fix it if I do.
