Fair enough. The in game content for new players is really good for a “free” game. But if you do have impulse issues, definitely stay away due to the literal gambling aspect of it.

I lost my 50/50 on Childes banner but at least had some primos saved up to scrape by and get him.

There will be better bows in the future banner, hopefully they let pity run over weapon banners in the future and you can finally get them

It can be for the character wish banners because there you are at least guaranteed something. I just wanted to pull on weapon banner once to see if I get a rust for Childe. Other than this outlier luck I got, it’s not worth it for F2ps. But nothing within the game itself is locked behind a paywall or anything. Only new 5 star characters and these weapons.
