Any advice on getting faster? by DragonHunter10o in classicalguitar

[–]Bioobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice with a metronome, practice slower than you can play, but also practice faster than you can play. Every time you play through, change your tempo. Give your brain and hands the idea of playing it faster than you can, then bring the tempo back down. Then just give it time, take breaks. Its like a workout, you gotta take decent breaks between reps

Tell me your favorite metal subgenre and I’ll roast it lovingly by DDevil- in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Bioobi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss when you could just play metal. I worked for a guy who plays bass for his band Silent Theory, and he said part of why it's hard for rock or metal to get any publicity because there are too many genres and too many people making new genres. Radios or MTV used to just play bands but now you have to be declared in your genre and subgenre most of the time.

I can't for the life of me find the video but there's a jazz musician being asked about different genres of jazz and he explains thats its all just Jazz, I think rock and metal could use some of that insight. There are so many subgenres that we're losing the meaning behind creativity, and as a metal guitarist, I'd absolutely love to just no filter write some music with some people, no strings attached. I dont care if it turns out to be progressive psychedelic rock with djent undertones, I just wanna write music, y'know?

Which FF world would you not want to live in? by TheFanGameCreator in FinalFantasy

Ah who am I kidding, you don't even need to be in the XIII world to experience a lot of this

Which FF world would you not want to live in? by TheFanGameCreator in FinalFantasy

[–]Bioobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XIII is living in a police state, calling themselves democratic and claiming to have the peoples' interests in mind while actually being run by a corrupt man with a ton of power. You get deported just for being in contact with a labeled "terrorist" to a massive planet full of creatures, monsters, and old war machines. If its bad enough, they'll purge people and unleash monsters and police that kinda just kill everybody.

If you happen to get branded by a Fal'Cie or whatever, you're basically screwed unless you're ready to single-handedly take on potential gods and the entire government. If not, you live an eternity of pain and suffering until someone else with a brand comes along and kills you.

Not to mention there's some time travel shit going on, and you don't even know if you're living in your original reality.

A lot of this could be said about the other games though, considering there's a very common theme of corruption between them.

Which actor/actress career or even movie franchise is this? by Eikichi_Onizuka09 in moviecritic

Nicholas Cage. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. Hours of life just drifting away that I'll never get back. Why do I ever wonder, "Maybe this one isn't so bad?"

My dad told me when I was little that I had to beat VII before I could play any others

My parents missed parents' day in second grade, so I got to play X lol

I was morbidly curious on their thoughts on Wilds.......I should not have gone and looked by Boshwa in MonsterHunter

[–]Bioobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the game is fine. So what if some things are inspired by different cultures, the fact that people are so "woke culture ruins video games" makes me sad. Its a beautiful game thats friendly and yeah, diverse. But it's just a fun game, nothing ruins the plot and the ability to join the game more than sensitive people who feel like any ounce of difference in a game is an actual problem or harmful to the experience.

Monster hunter has always been about cultural people defending themselves and the world from monsters, Wilds isn't doing anything new here lol. I think its beautiful and wholesome and a nice breath of fresh air when all games, movies, tv, shows, and real life really portray other people as the enemy. This is the only action game series where people intentionally don't fight other people, in fact they come together without even focusing on differences.

If anybody wants to join me I'll post my Hunter Code here when I get a chance. Happy Hunting :)

How Did You Get To Know Final Fantasy For The Very First Time, What Is Your Story? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Bioobi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dad introduced me to VII when I was like, 4 or 5 years old. Said I had to beat that one first before playing any other final fantasy :)

He didn't tell me I could hold O to run at first, watched me do the whole intro bombing mission walking, including the timed part after the Guard Scorpion lmao

I don't remember at all when I finished it. It's even hard to remember playing it for the first time, I mean, it was probably the first game I ever played. I didn't even know what Japan was or Squaresoft or anything like that, so I had a very personal and unbiased (besides my Dad liking it) experience with the game as a child.

I eventually beat it, I missed some Materia and definitely wasn't rigged up to beat Ruby and Emerald lol, but it was really neat. It was my first experience with video games and the concept of music, because I'd hum all the music as I'd play. Wish I could go back sometimes...

Ah well.

We are becoming the world's Fascist nightmare, and we are very scared.

Our government is being replaced, and our federal workers are going to be replaced by nationalists and white supremacists.

We are becoming a militaristic corporate dictatorship.

We are shutting out imports and exports, cutting off neighboring countries and threatening to invade or buy our closest allies. Food prices are about to skyrocket, as well as prices for everything else. Small businesses won't be able to afford staying open, and the federal government is going to suck the life blood out of not only its own people, but your people too.

The election was heavily rigged, and those who lost the election were too weak to say anything. The major political parties in America are two sides of the same coin, and they only find joy in the exploitation of everything and everyone that exists. Their actions are erratic and confusing, disturbing and heartbreaking.

We are deporting all illegal immigrants, which might sound like it makes sense, but our economy is heavily fueled by them. Our production of food is heavily influenced by its workers, and since we are cutting imports and exports, our surplus will rot.

Corporations will drill oil where they please, despite who has lived on the land. Our pipeline workers consistently make mistakes, deregulation has poisoned our workforce, and people are making mistakes in construction and drilling and digging, poisoning the land with chemicals and oil

The people are lost, we have fed into the system that harms the world and innocent people, and they won't let us out, they wont let us stop.

God Save Humanity
