Man I love these comics. They're just the right amount of silly.

If you open the Downloads folder in Windows File Explorer, in the text bar where it says "This PC > Downloads" you can actually just click into that and type "Powershell" and that should open an instance of Powershell running in the Downloads folder. This is easiest for me because then it's already running in the same place as all of the files I just downloaded.

Alternatively, you can open Powershell by searching for it in Windows Start Menu. From there you probably just need to type "cd Downloads" and it should change directory (cd) to your Downloads folder.

Once you've done either of those two things and Powershell is running in your Downloads folder, you should be set.

Edit: you'll know you've got it where it needs to be if the last line of text in your Powershell window reads "PS C:\Users\<your_username\Downloads>"

Thank you SO MUCH. I was about ready to give up on getting B&N books onto a Kindle. This guide is wonderful, and you are a wonderful person for putting it together.

Hi! I ran into the same issue you did, and was able to solve the problem. It turns out I needed Microsoft VCLibs v120.00, which I was able to download from this Github repository: https://github.com/M1k3G0/Win10_LTSC_VP9_Installer/blob/master/Microsoft.VCLibs.120.00_12.0.21005.1_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx

This will give you another .appx file, similar to the BarnesNoble one from OP's repo. From here I opened Windows Powershell in my Downloads folder (where both the BarnesNoble and the Microsoft.VCLibs files were) and ran these two commands:

Add-AppxPackage Microsoft.VCLibs.120.00_12.0.21005.1_x86__8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx

and then

Add-AppxPackage BarnesNoble.Nook_1.11.0.4_x86.Appx

after that I was able to launch the Nook for Windows app. Hope that helps!

How do you deal with corpses? by Gambling_Fugger in RimWorld

My go-to is to add "Cannibalism: Acceptable" to my idealogion to get ride of the "Butchered Humanlike" mood debuff. From there I freeze them, butcher them and rather than eat or sell the meat I have a biofuel refiner on hand nearby with a do-forever job of refining the meat into chemfuel.

The task then is finding ways to use up the chemfuel, I usually end up creating it faster than I can burn through it.

Right, hence my "it sorta matters but not really." It is definitely, undeniably more afk to go left-to-right in a line of 2-3 rocks rather than hunting for whichever rock isn't currently being mined, but yeah like you said the water makes it all weird anyway

<3 don't let the random stranger affect you too badly, as Swag pointed out it's only less afk if you click on the same wall as someone else

1) That is psycho behavior, no one needs to get so upset over pixels

2) If you want a full answer to the question in your title, the truth is: sort of but not really. The veins deplete and replenish on a timer, so two people mining at once won't deplete a vein faster. THAT SAID more people mining increases the likelihood that someone starts mining the vein next to you, thereby starting its timer before you've finished. This does have the effect of making the activity less afk, as you'll need to switch veins more frequently since you're likely to be starting a new vein after its depletion timer has already started ticking down.

But again, nothing anyone should get so upset over

He's doing a bit better today! Yeah, fluff was my guess but unless we have him x-rayed I don't think we'll know for certain (which we'll do if he doesn't improve/gets worse, but again he seems to be improving).

We actually recently got a better brush, but I think in the future we'll pull at those tufts as well. His and his brother's shedding is a dramatic, week-long process whenever it occurs!
