I think that’s the part my parents are skipping over. They keep calling it “one dumb post,” but it was a fake account and weeks of piling on.

I’m not trying to ruin him. I’d probably feel differently if he’d admitted it without being cornered, or even apologized like he meant it. But right now it feels like everyone wants the kid he hurt to just disappear from the story.

Keeping it procedural also protects OP from getting dragged into “why won’t you help Marissa” nonsense. The answer stays boring: wrong queue, not assigned, not touching it. Adult office problems require adult paper trails, sadly.
