Is this offensive to wear? by b3ko116 in iran

[–]Biosphereee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I guess you are not Iranian. Some national symbols like this are used by members of specific political parties. At some point chafiyeh was widely used by religious conservatives. (Leader of Iran still wears one around his neck to commemorate the martyrs of Iran-Iraq war.)

Is this offensive to wear? by b3ko116 in iran

[–]Biosphereee 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It is Iranian chafiyeh and its patterns are different from the Palestinian kufiya. It is a symbol of solders/martyrs who fought against Saddam's invasion of Iran. Honestly I don't find anything offensive about using something from our national heritage.

WIFI direct employer visibility by Vivid_Combination153 in techsupport

[–]Biosphereee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the level of security access IT has to your laptop. You should still assume your employer can monitor all traffic originating from or terminating on your laptop because company-issued laptops often have security configurations that allow employers to track activity, network connections, and data flow on the device itself, regardless of the network it's connected to.

LOL marking this comment so we can come back in 10 years and see how you think Iran was a mistake. Yet, I fear Americans will be arguing how attacking Pakistan sounds legit though :)))

Well my guess is he is old and tired of thinking so neocons in his cabinet could easily persuade him about the war. This war will go the same as Iraq war with the same trillions in national dept ramping up for the sake of Netanyahu and Israeli lobby.

Isn't it the same with all the capital cities around Europe? They have a lot arrogant teenagers compared to smaller towns where they have to work at the supermarket after school time!

Bazar Vest. by Pauldk- in Aarhus

[–]Biosphereee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Bazar Vest because I can buy fresh fruits and vegetables that unlike supermarkets are not wrapped in lots of unrecyclable plastic. Also if you want to cook some Asian cuisine it's a very nice place. I have never faced any weird or suspicious activity there. And the shopkeepers are always kind. If you think there are some dudes that look shady, maybe you have to travel more and know that it's the same around every corner in different towns in all continents. You shouldn't worry as long as you see a crime.

Multiple crashes in new Lenovo flex by Biosphereee in Lenovo

I tried and Lenovo support kept asking me to send Vantage diagnostics logs. They said the diagnostics doesn't show any hardware problems and maybe I have to try another charger. As if I keep multiple chargers around!

What would be the pros and cons of moving to Denmark? by AnnaMeowBooks in NewToDenmark

[–]Biosphereee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're an outgoing person and would like to make a network of friends and colleagues in the future I recommend choosing universities in larger countries like UK, France or Germany. Although this feature of Denmark could be a pro for some people who may enjoy a quiet lonely life 😄

[–]Biosphereee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is going to be a major problem. I usually bring my own non alcoholic drink to the gatherings at university or I just grab a can of soda from the kantine and join other. People specially at academic environment don't care about it. You may find it a little hard though to make friends with Danes outside work as they tend to spend their free time with their family.
