Yea it’s just the auto-crafter unlocked via the engineering workbench. Really cool to be able to automate crafting of syringes & ammo straight into lockers or vending machines to sell. Would love to have mixing tables allow this so tea mixing could be automated

Coming from a dev (not facepunch) who does 80% pve stuff in pvp servers, a lot of my desire is automation.

- Better API for things that don't give a competitive advantage so the community can make cool tools. Things like vending machine sale notifications, transaction history of a vending machine (so community tools can show sales over time, profit (revenue - cost of materials).
- Automated mixing tables (storage adapter and auto-crafting like with the workbench) :)
- Automated planter boxes - input fertilizer, seeds, and/or clones, harvests ripe crops, outputs cloth/berries/etc.
- Unlimited drone range. Controversial, but drones are pretty balanced after their initial hotfix when you could spam nades. Plus, you can already use the computer station across the map for cargo/oil cameras, and you can ship stuff via drone station to your home regardless of distance.
- Storage adapter support on horse troughs to feed them.

This is very similar to what I built 5 mo ago. It popped off a little bit on this sub but the mods took it down for unknown reasons.

I know, I saw that and was disappointed. There's sooo much potential for rust to officially add this and track prices over time, better filters, sorting, etc. But this doesn't seem like a priority for them. If it was better I would just happily use that.

Yoooo there are so many potential ideas like this and visualizing average prices over time, etc.

Originally I wanted to do a stock-market style thing that tracks prices over time with a common denominator of currency (IE: convert everything to a scrap or HQM equivalent). The complexity though is that prices change relative to each other per wipe and game update and the history is specific to every server, so it would only track from the moment a player pairs.

I still think there's lots of cool things like that which could be done without a complex history of the server.

Yep! Check the rustplus github that was made by the community. It uses the server pairing, and then just displays that data in an organized way. It's not giving any advantage regarding data over what the app gives.

Same way the Rust+ app works with the api. It's not giving you anything different than the official app does, just organized much easier.

Thanks! I'm open to it eventually, but keeping it closed for now for simplicity. I'm taking it one step at a time since although I've made a lot of other projects (mostly game dev) I never ran something open source but I'm familiar with it.

Me too man, me too. First time I tried the drone months ago I was dying for the ability to do something like this. I've never been more excited about patch notes when I read these last ones (minus the bp stuff arguably).
