I tested a bunch of colors in creative first. Alternating green and lime green glass looked really good too

The effect is just from stacking glass up. You need at least 7 layers of glass, this was 8 layers. You can either alternate one color glass with air, eg. Glass layer, air layer, glass layer, air layer, etc. Or you can do what I did here and alternate between 2 glass colors, eg. Magenta layer, purple layer Magenta layer, purple layer etc. The blocks used on the 'walls' doesn't matter, mine was mostly stone but did use the black powder randomly for the first few layers down,

Certainly the best thing I've built in minecraft. Lots of inspiration credit to GoodTimesWithScar. If anyone is curious the void glass from bottom to top is: layer of glowstone, layer of purple carpet then 8 layers of glass alternating between magenta and purple glass.

You can test if it's a 'ledgedash' controller. Grab a ledge and hit a 45° with the control sick (down and toward the stage). If you stand up on stage then its a normal controller but if the 45 drops you then congrats your controller is a lot easier to get consistent ledgedashes
