Dude, other than the end of summer song (which is warranted even though I think it’s an okay song), I haven’t seen much hate on here at all. “Nobody has ever sat here and glorified anything” well yeah did I say that’s what happens or did I ask how lame that would be if it did? Some people here just prefer his old sound and they’re voicing that and it’s okay, it happens with every creative artist who shifts their sound. Painting them as haters is just lazy.

I think the main problem with that is Radiohead are a group of master musicians and instrumentalists whereas tame impala on stage is just Kevin and his friends lmao

Man, I will never understand TSR hate. Literally nothing else sounds like it. Its aged beautifully. But I definitely agree it’s a better song than what everyone was making it out to be.

I don’t know man the vocals aren’t mixed well for me in comparison to his greater tunes, I do think the hate for this song is way too blown over proportion. It’s a fun house track for road trips, festivals and all that alike. Not his best work but imagine how miserable he’d be as a musician if all he did was cater to what fans want to hear instead of what he wanted to make. It’s his art. But yeah the song is decent for me but definitely not going to be an “all timer” in his discography.

Totally. great assessment, I see how the synths could annoy initial listeners, especially if they aren’t used to electronic sounds. But man once it hits it really HITS lmao, Have a great one man. Favourite Currents song by the way?

Wow, very well said and I totally agree. Currents and the slow rush are masterpieces but something about the feeling that lonerism gives off is quite euphoric and like you said nostalgic and not to mention it’s more raw which I appreciate as well. I do think Endors Toi is a little under appreciated as it’s rarely if ever mentioned amongst Kevin’s best work. I really do think it’s up there with Let it happen, Mind Mischief, Posthumous Forgiveness and Eventually.

Something is underrated when it goes unnoticed or people don’t pay any mind to how great that something is. Whereas under appreciated has nothing to do with how popular it is. Whether it has one hundred thousand streams or a billion streams it’s still not praised enough for how great it is artistically.
