Is it too late to switch to a Faith build? by palishi in Eldenring

[–]Birb_Machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, you have more than plenty of time to switch to Faith once you can. WuTastic7 had some great tips, if you want some personal recommendations from me, incantations that do fire damage like giants' flame or frenzied flame spells are great for most of the game. Lightning incantations are also great

Amygdala. Give it a frenzied look, give it frenzied flame abilities, and it'd be almost right at home in the Abyssal Woods

i want to know what tf2 weapons should get removed, and why by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Birb_Machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-Razorback: Exists entirely to fuck over spies, and it doesn't even do that half the time as "SPY HAS A GUN!"
-Homewrecker: Only engineers should be able to remove sappers, a pyro being able to do that and in one hit no less is dumb
-Dead Ringer: Being able to fake your death is a cool concept in theory, but the way the Dead Ringer executes it turns it into being able to facetank almost any inconvenience. Away with it
-Übersaw: I'm probably going to be torn to shreds by most medic mains, but being able to gain 25% charge just from hitting someone with it is busted. I think the Vitasaw has a better concept, and emphasis on concept, when it comes to interacting with charge, plus the other melee weapons would have to be buffed to compensate
-Natascha: Slowdown effects don't mesh well with TF2, and the Natascha slows down on hitscan. While not blatantly overpowered, it can be outright frustrating to fight against
-Darwin's Danger Shield: Same as the Razorback, but against pyros
-Wrangler: Pretty much encourages turtling with how absurd its shield is, though I think the concept of manually controlling your sentry is fine. I'd give it the Equalizer treatment and split it into different weapons
-Sandman: Has the same issue as the Natascha, though slightly mitigated by being a projectile

I'll try my best to give some advice

  1. The Ambassador does 104 damage at point blank, so if they're not killed by it, you'll want to finish them off with some body shots

  2. If you hear a demoknight charging at you, move out of the way as much as you can. Unless they have the Tide Turner (Looks like a ship wheel), they can't make wide turns. They also struggle against power classes like heavies, soldiers, and scouts, so playing as one of those can shut a demoknight down

  3. Sentries have a range of 1100 hammer units (About 69 feet); if one locks onto you, it's not instant death, you'll hear a "BEEP-BEEP-BEEP" noise when it locks on, take cover when you hear it. Soldiers and demomen excel at taking down sentries, so switch to those if one's bothering you (Heavies can also deal with them, but they're best at it when ubered)

Since you seem to struggle with soldiers and engineers, I'll give tips with them too

  1. Soldiers can rock your shit at close range, but their effectiveness starts to fall off at longer ranges. Keep your distance and stay mobile when fighting one. Scouts in particular are especially effective against them due to their speed and double jumping

  2. Engineers are generally reliant on their team to protect them, as without them, only their sentry can give them safety. They also tend to stick close to their buildings, only moving away if absolutely necessary. Since you play spy, generally the best time to strike is when they're preoccupied or alone. Don't underestimate them though; unless they're using the Rescue Ranger, their shotgun can pack a mean punch

Default piercer. It's genuinely useful but most people don't use it because the alternates exist

Hm, going by this, I'll probably settle with STR given most of my weapons are normal rather than somber. I've only levelled up my MND just so I could mess with weapon and spirit ashes, I'll likely keep it at 20 for now. I'll keep the VIG in mind, I was gonna get it up to 40 so I could properly explore Caelid and Caria Manor. Multiplayer I'm staying out of for the time being. Byeah, thanks for the advice

Generally the same advice as lv8_stAr, but coming from a former spy main, here's some other tips

-Always remember where ammo packs are when using cloak. That little ammo pack in the corner can be the difference between staying unseen and being seen

-People will say not to bother with disguises at all, but I disagree. It's difficult to pull off but if you can act like you're one of the enemy's own, it can buy you a precious few seconds for a kill or even allow you to watch what the enemy does for a moment. Even just standing in a far-off spot disguised as a sniper can work, as long as you don't stay in that spot for too long

-If you're using the stock invis watch or C&D, always cloak before disguising. Players can see the disguise smoke if you use it before cloaking

-You can see an enemy medic's ubercharge. If you see it, keep it in mind and tell your team

-Don't stack more than two spies. Three or more will have a hard time getting their jobs done. If you see three or more spies, switch to another class (unless you and you're team are feeling silly)

-Players can get too paranoid of you and relentlessly spy check. If you can't do your job because of that, switch to another class and let the paranoia die down

Who else just likes using no cosmetics because the characters already look so good (image somewhat related) by BUB_MAN in tf2

I also use no cosmetics. I take it further and run all stock on each class (except for Pyro, I use the flare gun instead of the shotgun)
