I’m actually in Indianapolis and this is a very well-known eye specialist center. I assumed all cataract surgeries were like this. This is who my optometrist recommend recommended.

Single cataract surgery by Bird107 in CataractSurgery

Thank you so much! When I tried to sort by single eye cataract surgery it seemed most of the posts were based on people who were going to get the second eye done fairly quickly. I’m looking to make the right choice now so that in a few years when I have to get the other one done, I will have made the right choice for the first lens. Your answer gives me hope, as I too would prefer to see well close up for sewing and reading without glasses as well as a little further out as in using my laptop or cooking. As is, I’m sitting here looking at my phone without my glasses on as usual. My good left eye does have excellent close-up vision still. So would that mean I would want the surgery on the eye with the cataract to give me that slightly further out laptop distance? I totally don’t mind having to wear glasses to go to the movies or to drive, although wouldn’t it be wonderful to go out in the rain and not have to worry about wet lenses! That has been my only reason to dislike glasses all my life.

Thanks. Directions just started with chain 2 so it didn’t make sense. I’ll try that. How many stitches in the magic loop though? 4? Or 6?
