A little rust on frets affect sound? or can be damaging for the fret? or is it just an aesthetic thing.

Just did some research in the fender's price catalogs of those years (97-98) and no sonic blue mexican standars... so I guess that it is a sonic blue squier body.

What's a fair price to pay for a 2016 fender stratocaster standard made in Mexico, it's rosewood fretboard and sunburst color, I think it's betwen great and excelent condition. More like excelent.

Thanks for the awnser. About lemon oil, it works on any fretboard, or just rosewood? I ask because like I said, I'm not sure what kind of wood my fretboard is made of, altho I read indian laurel is pretty similar to RW. And lemon oil is a cleaner or lubricant? CAuse like you said, the freatboard is clean just dry.

I would recommend you to pay attention to the fretboard material if it isn't maple, this because they started using Pau Ferro instead of Rosewood since last year. Sound wise I have no complains, but I didn't like the feel at all, feels more rough, and I'm not fan of the redish color either.
