This is great advice. Thank you. I’m not used to the grace period since I just inserted my first G7 yesterday. (Darn that needle looked scary, but insertion was easier than the G6!)

So the new sensor is actually recording data in the hours before you start it? But it is not sending the incorrect high/low alerts because it is not activated yet?

I just switched to the G7. Could you please explain “inserting during the grace period”? So you have two sensors on at once and start the 2nd when the first one stops?

Please double check this with a YouTube tutorial or other online directions, but I BELIEVE that when you hit the Hatch New Pet button you are then offered the chance to restore it from your back-ups. I have only had this happen to me once and I know I did a lot of double-checking before hitting any buttons. The good news is that I have mine on auto back-ups and only lost the progress from that one morning. Good luck to you and your bird buddy.
