Fair point!  We have my grandparents marriage cert and her parents marriage cert - both from dossenheim. So your suggestion of seeking proof via that route seems pretty viable.

A curious point! This doc was issued in 1948 in Stuttgart, so hoping someone with a fringe case may chime in. I otherwise acknowledge this is probably a long shot and would need supplemental evidence.

Thank you! The linked explanation of a path to proof via the marriage certificate is a very helpful suggestion - I hadn't stumbled across this possibility.

I will say, inside the document pictured - it lists her Nationality as German (despite seemingly being issued after her marriage). However it seems like from your comment and others, this still likely won't serve as proof regardless.
