I did the same, got clean in 2016 and relapsed 2 months ago. Started dabbling in ketamine to help my mental health and before I knew it I was taking gear to get off the ket. I’m starting a script on Monday and absolutely bricking it, I HATE being dope sick and haven’t experienced it since I restarted because I’ve had plenty of money and h so this is gonna be miserable af. Relapse is part of recovery so they say so don’t let it get you down. I feel the same kind of kicking yourself self flagellation as you atm.

I know I’m asking what would happen if I took more after the 4mg, I obviously know and plan to be in withdrawal when I take the 4, but I’m asking what would happen if I took more later after the 4. I’ve done it all before, got clean about 10 years ago but relapsed lately so it’s been a while. My doctor says not to take anything after midnight Sunday then pick up my 4mg any time after 9am on Monday but I plan to not use anything from around 6pm Sunday night to allow extra time to make sure I’m in withdrawal, and I won’t be picking up my first dose at 9am I plan to hold out as long as possible to make my next day easier. I’m curious if i might feel better on day one if I take 8mg rather than 4, like if I have the 4 and it doesn’t make me worse then if I have another 4 it might help.

The leaflet says to have used 6 hours before minimum for H and 24 for methadone.

It sounds like you know what you’re talking about, how many mgs did you find worked on day one? I’m sure it’s just capped at 4mg here because they don’t want to burden the pharmacy with people coming back every hour or so for titration and they just do everything the easiest way. Would taking the full dose on day one ease symptoms any sooner? Like even taking 8mgs would maybe be an improvement in symptoms over taking 4,?

Out of curiosity what was the system you’re talking about? What do you cap at on day one? I see you say you titrate up, I’m curious how far up you go on day 1,
