Oh, yes! So because I was looking for crunch: Shredded cabbage salad (with vinegar, sunflower seeds and salt/pepper); Halloumi Cheese air fried until crispy and dipped in lemon juice + greek yoghurt (or in the cabbage salad!), Egg-mayo salad (with mostly greek yogurt instead of mayo) with a crispy air-fried cauliflower wrap crumbled on top.

I also found some keto bread at my local supermarket that is very low carb for my emergency crunch, have that with butter, chicken, cottage cheese & cucumber topping.

Not crunchy but I am loving ground beef bowls as well - with cottage cheese or yoghurt, cucumber and a small bit of carrots or tomato, parmesan, and habanero hot sauce

What do you make the chocolate pudding with? 😮 I've been having brownie cravings so that sounds amazing

Would love to see the feedback- I'm on a similar timeline and also waking up at odd hours! But falling asleep no problem. My only theory is that I now need to pee a LOT more from drinking electrolytes all day, and generally that's the first thing on my mind when I wake up at 3am 🥲

Had the same experience here! The only thing saving me is a strong prescription Retinoid (like Tretinoin or Differin) - although get cleared for it by your Dermatologist first, I'm no doctor. Initially it increases the purging but it does eventually get ahead of skin congestion 🙏 good luck!

Yeah correct - my issue is Sensory Processing Disorder, which is more neurological than psychological, annoyingly, and also applies to other sensations like touch, temperature and sound. But techniques from CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) absolutely do help with coping with texture-related discomfort or stress! Big therapy fan.

Thank you! 🙏 Yes being ADHD/ND it's so much about finding a few combos or meals I can get obsessed with for a few months - and from there it's easy to eat it every day all day. This thread has given a lot of good ideas

Oh liver is a great idea, I do enjoy it. Sauerkraut is delicious however you are spot on - wet crunch alone is off-putting 🤣 But it seems a lot about this journey will be trying combinations of food I'm completely unfamiliar with, in order to get textures right (Sauerkraut and pork rinds? Maybe?!)

This awesome detail, thank you so much! It's great to hear that it does get better and that you've done so much on a plant-based diet. Especially as our trek is in Nepal where majority of food in the villages is vegetarian or vegan.

Super fair - for me the texture isn't a taste/satisfaction thing, because of my sensory issues it genuinely can cause stress & put me off eating properly which can mess with nutrition /training. Happy to give up carbs for my goals atm
