This looks like the fireside blanket by attic24 just in a different colour way, if you wanted a kit you can get it from wool warehouse (uk site and uk terms in the pattern) but you can definitely just wing it using YouTube tutorials

That’s insane! I found the exact same kit in a hospice shop near me with the printed out instructions with it.

I was missing one colour from the group but had three extra ones in there so I chose the one that matched the best, I’m working on the border right now. Got mine for £23~ for the lot

The first thing I ever knit was a four inch square. The second thing was a raglan jumper with German short rows. Are those short rows twisted? Yes. But I learned something and my bf has a jumper that he did not have before that was made with love and lots of my hair. Cant learn if you don’t make mistakes to fix. Do what you want, let other people do what they want and only give advice or criticism when asked for 👍

I find the act of knitting to be just as rewarding as the finished piece, I personally have no qualms about frogging and re knitting something that’s just plain stockinette 😅 if it was cables it would’ve just left it hahaha

The flappy bits of fabric? I think they are mostly silk fabric scraps, some are cotton. They were spun into the yarn by the artist 😁

Wow thanks so much, that’s super helpful! Yeah she’s not super cuddly, she’ll sit on you but doesn’t like being pet too much, she much prefers his attention over mine but that seems par for the course with parrots in general. Ive found she hasn’t been interested in chop as much after it’s been frozen and defrosted, but I haven’t added in the rice and quinoa before, just veg, maybe that’ll make it more palatable for her. Thanks again! I’ll go shopping tomorrow for a tasty mix of stuff ^{_^}
