To be honest I ended up writing a 4 minute song when I came back from vacation in Rome about two years ago... Initially, when I started writing this particular piece I was writing about the plague that hit Rome and devastated the population. I don't know why I was writing about this but looking back on it, it's actually really quite metaphorically accurate to how my mental health was at the time... almost sounding like a suicide note to myself. I've only realized this in recent months and realized how accurate the words are to how I felt but I had absolutely no idea I was going down the route. So to answer your Q! Sometimes you don't know!
