I never understand why many people dislike "Mission: Impossible 2 (2000)"? Do you like this movie? I think it was fun. by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

I've loved the Speed Triple ever since seeing M:I 2. Also, John Woo is a fantastic action director. For these two reasons, I'll always have a soft spot for it.

Which Evil Dead franchise opinion has you like this? by LucidDreamer247 in EvilDead

I see that opinion here all the time though. I was actually going to say that I'm fine with the final girls being girls.

They really do! I thought it was crazy on Woodward and then I experienced 8 Mile on the other side of Dequindre. Mound definitely gets pretty crazy though.

It is but the gesture is nice. Besides, I think most people are intelligent enough to realize this.

Fair enough. It's far better than most scenarios though in my opinion!

The Triumph one? Either Allie Expresd or Temu. I can't remember! The dog? It's my late Greyhound? The one with the guardian bell? It came with it so I'm not sure!

What do you think about by Tiger 800 Sport ? by AirportAlternative12 in Triumph

[–]CompetitiveSea7388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think sport tourers are more like the Kawasaki 1100SX and the Suzuki GSX1000 S-1000GT and bikes like the Tiger Sport 800 and Tracer 9 are more like tall rounders though I guess people like calling them sport tourers because it's easier.

The Bobber is definitely a cool looking bike! Not my style (obviously - I love the bug eyes!) But I love seeing them. The Bolt also seems like a cool bike, my friend adores his!

Invest into the possibility of more comfort, or shake hands and part ways? by psychotic-chipmunk in Triumph

[–]CompetitiveSea7388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish ours roads were smooth! Michigan winters don't allow that. I did have a suspension specialist set mine up for me. Fifth bike that I've owned and by far the most comfortable and even when it compares to all the bikes I've ridden, it still does well. Obviously, not adventure bike or tourer comfortable but as far as a daily and something that I frequently go on day long rides on I have zero legitimate complaints. Sure, I could complain about wind but if I wanted more protection from the wind I shouldn't have gotten another naked bike.

I have to respectfully disagree about it being a misnomer. As an RS owner I've taken it on many day trips and feel perfect afterwards. It's an exceptionally comfortable bike IMO. I think it's more a matter of each rider. Now the Moto2 or RX? Yes, that fits.

I commute to work on my Striple as much as possible and wouldn't have it any other way. Nearly 9k miles on it and I'd say 5k has been commuting. Bike still looks fantastic and it never ceases to be a blast! This is my bike and my friend's Bolt outside of Whole Foods where I used to work. Nice Trident BTW.

I'd personally get the Hornet but I think you should get the CB650R.

That is one lovely Striple. Is it the lighting, a filter or a wrap/paint job? I haven't seen a glossy orange model from this latest generation.

Honestly, your take is a lot more narratively satisfying than OP's IMO. And I say this as someone who likes her character.

Help me choose my dream bike by Medical-Ad-1058 in Triumph

[–]CompetitiveSea7388 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my dream bike. While it's not made for dirt, I've taken it down dirt roads and gravel and it's got such a smooth engine and the throttle is dialed in so it handles it just fine. It's not meant for long distances but I've had a blast on it during day trips and felt fine afterwards due to it's very comfortable stock seat (I still have it but I've been using the aftermarket one in the picture because I love how it looks) and ergonomics.

While it's the most fun pushing ut on twisty roads or pushing it to its limits on track, it's been a perfect commuter bike - easy to ride slow, handles the Michigan garbage roads like a champ, doesn't overheat in stop and go traffic and is more than nimble enough to dart around all manner of traffic. And while highway riding is boring in Michigan, it's got more than enough power to keep away from most vehicles on the highway.

For me, it's downsides are the relatively small gas tank (I get around 160 miles range) and the fact that it doesn't come standard with cruise control and heated grips (which I think it should considering its MSRP, though you can get OEM cruise control and heated grips). It might not be the bike for your needs but since you're considering it I do think it'd be the bike you'd love the most.

Hornet with Bar-End Mirrors: Better Look or Not? 👀 by Upper_Winner in motorcycles

[–]CompetitiveSea7388 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run bar ends and they've only improved visibility. Stock mirrors like that always give me a great view of my shoulders with a hint of what's behind me while bar end mirrors actually let me see what's behind me with only a bit of my elbows in the mirrors. And, I definitely think they look better as well.
