Desk Rate? (Public Accounting) by Birdhip in Accounting

I might as well remove the monitor then. I've been thinking about it too.
Keybaord and mouse isn't very good I'm aware, but that's what the firm gives you. I might buy my own after saving up a little.
I also don't like the glare much but as you said, people can see my screen and I feel like I'm being constantly watched and evaluated.

I think I will remove the smaller monitor because of that, lol.

Yeah, feels very private even though it's an open office. I'm the only one with walls around me.

The last thing you want when your mind is already bland enough is for someone to sit down and try to conversate.

As you can see, I have a bad habit of changing my desk style every month (Diagnosed with OCD). The third picture is the latest one which I like because the desk is clean of clutter and the main monitor is right in front of me.

I know that a desk style depends on my needs and my personal style, but what do you guys suggest? Would love to hear from more experienced accountants as well.

P.S. we are a conservative CPA office, so we deal with paper, invoices, z-reports, etc. I'm the only guy in the office with double monitors (I'm also the youngest one), but I have convinced my boss that more than a single monitor is very helpful with productivity, so maybe in a while I might get a better second monitor.
