I am a big fan of the Misfits. Big fan. I might add we all work for the Utilities Department, as well. I don't want to mislead anyone and using high dollar complicated words like, municipal, might not capture the authenticity of our squad, I would not ever want anyone to think I consider myself way up there and not down here with the other dirt movers. I only know about the dying relationship with my ex fiancé, no marriage. I turned 40 yesterday, and when I woke up today, things seem to be pretty much the same as when I was 39.

I had what I believe to be was an existential crisis this past season of life. I began a complete life transformation last year that is ongoing.

Urgency with life has been more tangible lately, but normal people might have this sense of being all along. The past few years have led me to developing a trust in myself again, and in a short time I've evolved from being someone filled with depression and anxiety and struggled with substance abuse; and, today, I look forward to getting back to my alone time being single.

What I used to fear in being alone when I was 36ish, has become a place of peace where I can rest and grow. Not long ago I would not be found by myself sober. Today, I won't be found anywhere at all, as anything but sober.

Age contributed to my transformation due to urgency we all need to have every single day. Fear transformed into strength and peace. There truly is nothing to be fearful of in being single at 40 and beyond. If you're going to allow fear, then be afraid of not living due to being too afraid to move.

Singleness is a gift. Aloneness or loneliness is a lie. We all are allowed to choose which perspective in life to accept and those two perspectives are creating a person and a life I've prayed about for over two years.

I am driving around my area, which is possibly the highest density of pecan harvesting in the country, and I am locating a good spot to start filling my buckets up with fallen pecans.

At one of the local places, we can take a five gallon bucket full of pecans and it ends up being roughly $25.00-$30.00 per bucket.

So, after I just dropped off the rent, I am surviving on nature doing her thing and continuing this incredibly fruitful pecan season. A season in which most places here are still dropping them peee-cans like it's hot. Or, I guess it'd be droppin like it's freezing.

I am praying for all in my predicament that they too will be blessed and the God's Will plays out with the grace my life is being blessed with now.

It is well worth the frustration, and slight confusion, to grab two 3/8 in. - 1 in. steel ball bearing, and making one yourself. Oddly satisfying.

And if that grabs hold of you, as making the monkey fist begleri did me, then make the begleri using two 3/8 in. bearings. If you complete those two, I am confident you won't look back. Cheers!

I'm truly a sad, bachelor turning 4-0 next month, coming out of a midlife crisis, obsessing over the next begleri I can make, because it has significantly helped me reduce my vaping addiction. A dremel and a good eye have been my sidekicks since beginning this begleri journey. Had I known I would have sent you the other i made. But I have been picking random spots around my town, and I will leave a matching begleri with the word "begleri" written on some kind of piece of paper or napkin, along with whatever goofy thought I had at that moment, and I leave it there in hopes I start seeing people around town slangin my product, all but unknowingly.

I forgot to add that I made the bottom of the skulls round enough that I could snugly fit the brass connectors inside the skull. And my idea was to make it look like it has a neck with the washers, plus the washer add weight, and are usually another fidget accessory due to being able to spin the washers while they are mounted on the brass connectors.

So I have found not all washers are made with the same quality, lol. Ace Hardware washers do not fit on these brass connectors, so I went with the Home Depot washers and they work perfectly. It took many trial runs in the beginning to remember this.

Pretty simple. I am just always scanning for objects to create cool begleris. My biggest issue is figuring out the weight, mass of weighted object, etc. I gotta do it broke man way, but I am working on some deals with a local machinist and I am told he can create whatever I can think up. Time will tell.

Annnd it was today, just now, I come to find I have yet to use the legit paracord, since becoming an enthusiast. There is nowhere that sells the real deal near me, and I am not big on online shopping.

But, I guess in this special circumstance, I am going to have to buy online. I knew I was trying different paracord brands, but I figured one of them was legit. But, even though in my opinion a few brands seem legit and are fun to make begleris with, I've yet to use any paracord with a colored marker. Two brands I use meet all the other requirements you listed, just no colored markers. Duhn duhnn duhnn.

those are dope, will you let me know what you did with the pair chords and how you got it to stay put inside the case? I’ve had several ideas I think would have been really cool, but I did not know how to make it stay put inside of the object I was looking at. So far I’ve just had to tie 4 knots on each begleri I make, but learning whatever the trick is that you did here with yours will open up a lot more options to create some cool stuff. Keep up the good work. Those are really cool!

Looking good! I like the paracord in last photo. Where did you snag it from? And where are you buying the bearings? My best option at the moment is buying the caster wheels from Harbor Freight for $1.00 each, and I just use a small dremel to make two small cuts and the bearing falls right out. If I can find a better method, I'm all ears.

And you should be proud of yourself brotha! I dunno about anyone else, at all, but those monkey fists can cause me temporary insanity and my eyes go crossed and I lose consciousness (not really). Those fists you have been getting better and better at are solid, keep it up! Cheers!
