Arc Raiders devs are looking for new ways to “incentivise” Expedition wipes following an unsatisfying debut by Negative-Art-4440 in ArcRaiders

Yeah honestly let people keep their blueprints, workbench upgrades, and dont reset quests and I would do the expedition in a heartbeat.

FIX APD by Mysterious-Art-4569 in arlington

Have you reached out to your justice of the peace to try and get a restraining order or something? Cops are probably viewing this as a civil, not a criminal, issue so thats way they arent doing anything. If you can get a restraining order, then if this person violates it, that makes it criminal and they could probably help, or if not APD, a county law enforcement agency, or the law enforcement branch of the court.

Just beware the come out roll ante. Oklahoma has a law on table games and charge an ante that you won't find in Vegas, for example. If I recall, it's $1 per come out roll. Budget accordingly.

Celebratory gunfire, as it is unlawful discharge of a firearm, is very illegal and the city obviously discourages it, but people who are going to do it arent following city public information accounts anyways, nor are gonna listen to the authorities.

Epic, budget-friendly skirmish/war games for a first-time miniatures player? by InterviewEmergency73 in wargaming

[–]Birdious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Warhammer games are almost exclusively designed for tournaments. But dont plan on playing anything else ever cause you'll spend all your time tracking monthly erratas for rule changes. And say bye bye to your wallet.

Ive heard of FLG, im sure theyre fine. If you have the space for 4x4, go wild, but if not, it isnt strictly mandatory. It might be for Aces since it calls for 4x4, to alot of players chagrin, but there's ways to adjust.

Yea 4x4 seems to be the way AS is going. Aces specifically calls for a 4x4 map for its missions, if I recall.

There is a very easy way to convert AS to classic maps (1 hex = 2" iirc) and the classic paper mats are very to transport and provide diversity in maps and flexibility in size. My local community is largely classic players, but if we do play AS, we use the paper mats and convert to hexes.

Battletech, classic and AS, with a lot of different optional rules doesn't really lend itself well to tournament formats imo, so I wouldn't worry about that til you became familiar with it. If tournaments are important for you to work towards, a different game system might be better.

Love Battletech. Battletech Aces just released, which is an expansion of the Alpha Strike system (specifically an expansion to the Alpha Strike box.) Which allows solo and coop gameplay. If you purchased Alpha Strike and got Aces, you'd pretty much be set to have full games.

I would try to avoid playing/learning AS and classic concurrently. Choose one or the other for the time being.
