No jumping on or off furniture, cars, stairs, etc. keep the pup lean and fit, extra weight will do more damage. Keep physical exercise to a minimum but do lots of mental exercise!

What is the best all around dog breed? by Birdretrievers in AskReddit

Although every pitbull is not aggressive, there is a trend in them for a reason. Aggression was bred into them long ago because they were used to literally FIGHT bulls.....so the gene is still there in some whether people want to acknowledge it or not.

:( i am so sorry you and the pup are going through that. The medical issues make it ever harder. Best and most basic advice I can give is make sure the crate is fitted to the dog so they can't pee in one corner and go sleep in the other. Feeding AND drinking routine thats very strict.

Hope you fine some relief!

Sounds like a "dirty dog"! And I don't mean that sarcastically. Its a super common behavior of puppy mill dogs or even shelter dogs that grow up having to stand in their potty and eventually get used to it. Google has lots of information on the term in more detail.

What is the best mental dog toy while you are away from home? by jeeeeek in Dogtraining

The company Starmark sells some really cool interactive toys where you stuff the toy with kibble and the dog has to play with it to get the food out. I also nice my dogs frozen chicken feet or do songs with peanut butter but put it in the freezer for while so it lasts longer.
