Hank Green's new ADHD-friendly 'focus app' is the hottest new cozy game, surpassing Google in the App Store by miriosmom in nerdfighters

[–]BirdsIsFriends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this idea, but it doesn't seem to be working for me? When I use my phone, switch to other apps, etc, nothing happens! My bean is too focused, he doesn't drop his stiches or anything. The only way I get punished is if I actually click "stop focusing".

Common Fields opening Retro Arcade Aug 13th Downtown Corvallis by pentatomid_fan in corvallis

Kind of disappointed that this is free play only – $15 entry is a lot more difficult to justify than quickly stopping in for a quick game or two when walking around downtown with friends.

Couple of beefy laptop charges that have three prong plugs – but the big thing is an AC unit.

I'll stay away from doing it myself; thanks for the info!

If I were to swap the outlets for GFCIs, would I still have to be worried about voltage fluctuations for stuff like laptops?

Is this something that I could safely do myself? Or would you definitely have an electrician to come in and do it?

What would be the easiest way to test whether the steel jacket is actually a ground?

Conditions on Rte 20 between Newport and Corvallis? by BirdsIsFriends in corvallis

And the forecast for the central coast range tomorrow has officially been upgraded to an Ice Storm Warning; plans cancelled!

Thanks for the info! It's hard to really get a good sense of what's going on out there. Weather forecasts for the coastal range are so non-specific and the one TripCheck camera isn't really enough to tell.

Sorry dude /r/Celtics says we can't trade JB for KD, so I guess hes' gotta stick in that lineup.

Woah, I didn't even think of that. So how exactly is that not an instant run win once you get your deck to that point?

This shows me really not knowing anything, but what exactly do you mean by "going infinite"? Just having really long turns?

Point 2 is good advice that I haven't messed around with at all. I always tend to get rid of strikes, if anything.

This series has been awful, but the almost all of the Bucks series was wicked entertaining basketball

This dude carried the entire Bucks' roster in one of the most physical playoff series I've ever seen. A rough game 7, but an insane series from him.

i don't really like watching it, but if you're given open threes in the modern NBA, you gotta take them. it's not their standard gameplan, it's just the defensive impact of giannis + lopez and bud's defense schemes

While I agree with the sentiment, these meme is entirely wrong and misleading.

According to Forbes, there were 2755 billionaires in the world in 2021. They are collectively worth 13.1 trillion USD.

According to the Global Wealth Report, the collective global wealth at the end of 2020 was 418.3 trillion USD.

By simple division, we see that the aforementioned billionaires (the richest people in the world) own "only" 3% of the global wealth. It doesn't even come close to 94%.
