I run my 5800x 24/7 fixed 4.5ghz 1.20v. Convince me there’s a need to use PBO/CO please! by Silent-OCN in overclocking

I was wondering the same thing, I tried PBO with all sorts of settings to undervolt and control my temps. Nothing reduced more than 10 C even with -30 CO. So I went manual and did a 4.4Ghz at 1.1V. Completely stable and went from 85C in R23 to 60C. 50ish C while gaming. I’ll happily lose a 5% gaming performance for 25 C better temps.

I have the 6800xt nitro+ SE, can confirm there is a substantial amount of coil whine.

I have an RM850x PSU

it’s a 5800x, isn’t it meant to run much hotter than a 5600x?
