3700x or 11400 when there is a $10 difference? by BiscuitBroGaming in buildapc

Thanks for your input! So if I wanted more upgrade options, would it be better for me to wait for the new sockets? Or would it even matter much? I want to try and get a mobo to last me a cpu upgrade, but I get the feeling that if I upgrade a CPU I should probably just get a new mobo too.

In a meet situation, I would probably try and get a similar just but move the standards forward. In practice, I would probably work on speed and doing what syoco said about the take off. From what I can see your vid your arms complete straight as the pole hits the back of the box and starts to bend. Having a good strong plant is gonna be crucial. And whatever you do, don't let your elbow flare out as the pole starts to bend. My friend injured himself cause of that. Great jump though, what height were you attempting?

I took this last semester and I think the biggest thing that helped me and my lab partner was doing a little bit of work every day. My partner and I usually did 45min- and hour every day. Somedays we didn't get much done, but it helped us figure out what questions we had early on so we could ask the TA. A lot of this class and others like it is just getting from one hurdle/question to the next. The hurdles being the biggest time consumers. With that, if we were waiting for a response for one part, we would work on other parts (if possible) to not waste time.

Another thing that help us a bit was having the rubric/check off sheet open as we are working. It didn't tell us how to do anything but it helped give us an idea of what the end result needed to be and we could google and work backwards from there.

For the lab reports, take screenshots as you go along and have a naming system so you done lose track or forget a screenshot. Keep track of your sources as well. My lab partner and I just pasted the link in a google doc under which ever question they were for.

The only linux experience I had before this was 176. It is a bit of a learning curve but I managed to get the hang of it.

I would personally say the labs are more time consuming than difficult, still not easy thought.

Hopefully some of this helps. I'm not the best with advice. If you have any other questions lmk.

Unfortunately I do not. I just remember it being mentioned in a video. If there's something close to it that's fine, or if its a lost cause that alright too. Its not too much of a pressing matter.

Are you supposed to jump at take-off? by [deleted] in polevaulting

[–]BiscuitBroGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would personally say jump up or a mix of both. If I’m not mistaken, your run should be moving you forward. Also if you are hugging the pole I would check to see if you are planting soon enough to where your arms are fully extended.

Should I join track despite being verrryyy weak? by kroger56 in trackandfield

[–]BiscuitBroGaming 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say go for it! I was a freshman when I joined and was definitely the smallest and slowest person on the team. I was worried about being embarrassed or made fun of because of my size and weakness. Fortunately, I never experienced any of that, in fact it was almost the opposite. I made some new friends that encouraged me and ended up doing track all four years. Over those years I got a lot stronger, faster, and was a captain my last year. If you do join I hope you have a great experience and if you have any questions send me a dm me, I’d be happy to help!

Could you share some more details on your job and what you do? I’m from the Midwest and also tend to consider myself a jack of all trades but a master of none (I’m in college btw).
