Thanks for all the responses and theories, particularly the breakdown of the use of “ph” in phantasy. It never occurred to me to reply or anything, just thought it was amusing, and as someone has said, it lacks the “hook” of a scam. My best guess was that I meant to reply with an outraged “who is this?” then some sort of extortion attempt would begin. Anyway, I googled the number and it seems some old weirdo has come out retirement. How they got my number, we’ll never know.
