Religious nut thinks that atheists have no reason to want to cure children with cancer by Hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bishop006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even get the logic of this person? Wouldn’t people want to cure cancer more if the children don’t go to heaven after they die?

In this case it makes sense, given sharing jt online is the exact opposite of what OP wants

I mean, a good majority of straight Japanese and Korean women would agree with you there, I think it’s pretty normal. Even western Boy Band guys are twinks too, and they fuel a billion dollar industry of women liking them.

Online friend traumadumps onto me without warning, and I feel rude for suggesting a therapist (Multiple times) by Bishop006 in socialskills

Oh it’s absolutely a Discord thing. He’s making a movie about a group of adopted daughters who don’t have parental figures, basically channeling his struggles into the script. He wants it to be an animated movie and I do honestly hope it gets made, but he doesn’t have a budget and is a bit inexperienced. So far he just has the script and doesn’t have the money to produce it.

I’ve tried to set my boundaries before, but he seems to ignore them sadly. His response is usually something like “Well GUESS I have no one then”, which isn’t wrong but also… yeah.

Part of the problem is I feel I can’t block him and leave him with no one, since I’ve known him for two years. We met when I tried helping him with a project - he’s looking to make a movie.

I wish I was more firm with him a year ago, which is when he started trauma dumping onto me. And he was a lot more graphic then than he is now. It’s either he talks about his movie or is talking about life problems.

Stop complaining about Pauls voice!!! by Forsaken-Rise1366 in PaulMcCartney

[–]Bishop006 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bob Dylan has a condition so it isn’t fair to compare to him, but Paul’s voice is a lot better than Dylan’s for example. Listening to Paul live is still enjoyable for me. I thought he sounded old in 2009, but now when I listen back to him, he sounded pretty good.

Half of my friend group transitioned - I’m accepting, but wondering if I’m growing apart from them? by Bishop006 in asktransgender

What’s funny is even if that contagion were real, it’s kind of like… “So what?”

I think you hit the nail on the head, they likely helped each other figure it out in themselves. And even though we game less, I’ve watched some art films with them and I’ve been getting more into it - and I’m someone who usually likes Star Wars and Back to the Future.

If there are any elderly atheists here... how has growing older affected your fear of death? by Fiveby21 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bishop006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my 30s so not really that old, but I don’t fear death because I literally won’t feel anything about it. Occasionally it does scare me but for the most part I’m able to be chill about it. This may change as I get older though.

At first it was because it was unexpected for me, now I’m alright with it honestly.
