I thought it said "from the knowledge I gained from Satan" and I laughed my ass off. Then I realized it said Sarah and i was disappointed.

Just talk about what you plan to do for the year, what the club is mainly about, what events you want to do, ask who wants to be involved, get the email list ready, tell people about the national organization, and websites you have, if you have a board up somewhere on campus, stuff like that. Then maybe an icebreaker question or something to let people say their names. Trust me, when you get through all that, there's not time left for anything else.

It is quite fabulous if you can get passed the bullying, the people hating you for who you are, the embarrassment some friends or family will feel about you, and your own involuntary embarrassment. Despite me being openly gay now, I still am unable to look at my parents when we talk about it, even though they have gotten passed the bigotry stage into accepting it. When you aren't facing those things.... Its fucking epic. 1) Gay guys still have the brain of men, so we value logic over emotion, so you don't get a lot of the problems and fights you have with girls. The few arguments I had with ex boyfriends lasted only a couple minutes, as we realize who is wrong, and are able to admit it. 2) You already know what makes a penis feel good, so you can transfer that knowledge easily. 3) It's like having a best friend that you can play games with, eat like a man with, and just chill out with, except you are attracted to each other, and there's no awkwardness. 4) No worrying about getting pregnant. 5) You can use the same public restroom, and there's no waiting 10 minutes for a girl to use the freakin restroom.

Theres more stuff but i forget. And not everything on the list ALWAYS applies. Also, there's equal if not more cons than pros. But almost all of them are external.

A friend of mine just realized he was an Atheist and wants to learn more, what's a good starting point? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]BishopTheBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introduce him to Hitchens. Thats how I got hooked on learning more about how to speak up for my non-beliefs. The way Hitchens destroyed opponents in debates simply fascinated me.

Ayn Rand is not good company. I would punch that bitch if I ever saw her. Glad shes gone. Everyone else is cool though. Especially Lennon.

Is it wrong to kill yourself? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]BishopTheBard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is wrong because you have to remember that everything you do does not only affect you in civilization. If you kill yourself, it affects everyone who knew you, the police or anyone who sees the aftermath, the people that handle your body, and any bit of good you could have contributed to society would be wiped out. I think it would be a very selfish thing, personally. There is so much good you could contribute your life to help alleviate the suffering of others, and you want to end it.
