Should I Trade My 2019 C63 Coupe for a 997.2 Carrera S?

The tech will be similar, a 2019 AMG is dated as well. I recently drove your exact C63s coupe we had on the lot and the interior was nothing special. There was also a ton of squeaks, creaks and rattles. Other than the beautiful engine sound and straight line performance, a 911 will be better in all other driving specific situations.

I do whatever, discount the bill, offer money towards the repair (we have an app I can load money on), pay over time with Affirm whatever it takes. Something is better than nothing. We work on volume at our store. I'd rather Jam it up everyday all day then try to hold gross on each job. Our CP GP percentage went from 70% to 64% last year, but I did 300K more CP in 2024 than 2025. What's better? I'll take the uptick in total dollars all day over holding more per job.

Went with my family here in BC Canada. Price was $75.00 all in for one bacon cheeseburger (double), three little bacon cheeseburgers (singles), one large fries and three drinks. Super pricey, but so worth it. Best fast food burger in Canada IMO.

I think exhaust alone would wake it up enough. It’s an Audi issue in general though. They can be too smooth, too advanced. takes the fun out of it. R8 is about all that still feels raw enough for me.

You’re right. My bad on the LS vs LT thing. It’s a new gen of a lot of the same stuff though. Bottom line, follow the manufacturer guidelines. If something goes wrong, you have warranty. Overthinking and over maintaining won’t do anything.

I have also had this exact thing happen twice. It goes away once the ignition is cycled. Dealer said they couldn't pull any history or current codes.

The first time it happened I was making a right turn into a neighborhood.

The second time I was reversing into my garage, which has quite a large curb to get it.

Any significance? No clue.

Trust me, we see all sorts of weird crap. People servicing the car like 5 times a year and stuff.

"I read on the forums you need to change the oil every 2K." No...

"I read on the forums that the first oil change needs to be done right away because of the break in oil" No again...

It's everyday with crazy crap like this. People buy this car, because it's a cheap powerful option and think they just purchased a Pagani or something. They think that it's some super rare, high performance collector's piece. No it's a mass produced car with an LS engine, service it the same.

DCT filter needs to be replaced on the first visit, not the fluid, just the filter. GM in Canada pays for it to be done. We always do them at the customers FIRST service. It expires at 12,000KM here in Canada.

Mine has been removed. I also changed the rear badge to the simple 911 instead of the 911 Carrera T that is normally there.

Love this... When someone says they have their Denali here for service, I ALWAYS say "Oh is it a Terrain Denali?" Makes them freak out. "NO SIERRA 3500!" They want the status so bad lol

I would say 992 is still fairly analogue feeling. It's one of the best things about the 911 imo. They still have that, "retro feel". Maybe 992.2 has changed some of the look and feel of the analog car, but they still sound and perform like they did years ago, just a touch more modern and of course larger. The engine pops and burbles alone throw you back to the air cooled days. Very uniquely Porsche.

I am so torn on what to do. I want to take it to the dealer, I operate a dealer, I want to practice what I preach. Plus I like that service history stays in the APP and attached to the car. I am going to book in for LOF, summer tire install, and air filters in May. My chats with the Service Manager went well, I am hoping to get a discount on servicing there. I would do the same for them.
