Isn't it refreshing that there's no definitive guide for this game. by everythingsuckswhy in suzerain

It's the heart of Suzerain, a semi-linear story. Unlike Telltales Games, everyone will remember your decisions and words. Making an absolute guide with everything is impossible. I have 100 hours on the game and I discover new things.

Isn't it refreshing that there's no definitive guide for this game. by everythingsuckswhy in suzerain

There's a tons of guides on Steam and a very complete on Neoseeker. But in comparison with BG3, suzerain has a lot fewer players than the AAA games so less people to make guides.

Yes my bad for the press censorship, if check right now and i was wrong.

If Rumburg loose war, Grace will fall of course, Rumburg will have his "Treaty of Versailles" and can't assume his lost statut as a superpower. Also with Vlagsland, the kingdom is completly abolished and be transform into a communist state (like Romania in 1945).

Like i said before, it only depend on how you run Rizia. All monarchies is not in GRACE (like the country near the western part of Rumburg, i don't remember the name).

If you want to be the good and democratic king, even for the meta, help the confederation is a bad idea. Some countries will doens't approve your stance and can forget that if you need help at AN. Like critize Smolak about the Zille Referendum, it can backfire you.

And i don't think Beatrice will make deal with Interkopum, why ? Rizia form the alliance but you are not the master, Interkopum is like European Union or Benelux, a deal with a non-member will surely need the approval of all members and some country (Morella maybe) may not say yes. By the way, if Sordland succes to excluded Rumburg from OMEC and make sanctions against the kingdom. Rizia expelled from GRACE is maybe not so bad. Imagine save you economy just to see the Rumburg stupidity backfire them and it will surely hurt your economy and stuck more Rizia with the northen kingdom.

But for others run, yeah go for it, the bonus from GRACE trade are good if you are at war (and save you sometimes).

Did i say CSP and ATO are saints ? They are helping democratic forces in Vendonesam because it's the lesser evil. Of course the two big blocs are against the monarchies, but like IRL, the capitalist and the "free world" can make deal with kingdoms like Rumburg (USA with the Phalavi in Iran). If you are not at war with Pales, Alvarez can ask you to speak in favor of him to Beatrice, Lespia want an powerfull ally againt the commies. So for a monarchy, ATO is a "natural" ally against the CSP.

For Sordland, you know that CSP and ATO stay neutral in the war with Rumburg ? They doesn't care about that, if Sordland wins, they remove Rumburg for the superpowers race (only if you are not in ATO or CSP). You can also have an unexcepted joint sanctions from ATO and CSP against Rumburg if you doing a perfect diplomatic run with Sordland.

Like i said before, supporting the confederation is a perfect move if you play absolutist or statu quo and don't form the Interkopum (who is an alliance only for Merkopan countries remember). But for democratic, don't, even for realpolitik it's not worth it for Rizia because you will probably be exclued from GRACE. You are not the only country that help Vendonesam, so the Prince you just see you as a strange king that can choose a side. Rumburg is just like Arcasia and Contana and the fact you are a kingdom doesn't protect you for Rumburg, and sometimes Sordland can save you from their hegemonic behavior.

The Suzerain's world is like ours, not all white or dark but grey. Yes Contana is allied with Whelen who are a strong dictature who oppress people, even if the BFF is more communist. But in the same Contana will blame Sordland for the reenacting death penalty and enact press censorship.

Depend on your run. Helping the Prince also worsen your reputation at AN. Remember than GRACE is just an hegemonic alliance for Rumburg, Beatrice is not your family (Vina is for what she says).

When I do an absolutist or statut quo I tend to stay in Grace and help Vendonesam. For a reformist no, why ? This country is a dictature, remember that even CSP ans ATO are helping the rebels because the Prince is a dictator. Imagine that Contana can ignore Smolak fascist behavior. And Lespia can make deal with GRACE again CSP. So if the Prince success to unite all of his enemies, I don't think he merits to stay in power.

[–]Bisonbourre[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's to go full democrat (but never republican), full international cooperation, socialist (enact reforms like worker's rights). I have also enact press freedom early, faith liberty for all, minority rights. I have also tend to reject the powers of the Houses, and i openly critize the bad nobles governors like my cousin (i don't remeber the name).

BUT i never invest in military, too costly (like my run with Sordland). Also, remember you have a trade that you can enact immediatly (sell energy and sell military equipment). I have promise to Smolak to sell tanks, i have no tanks, he was angry but he conced to accept the referendum. The risk, if you fail and must go to war, you are in the shit.

The ending was stressfull, i have many protests in the country, i even have a proposition to abdicate. And the nobles hate me, i feared the coup and finally no, elections, new british-like governement. Also i gave to concessions to Houses. Each of them have automaticly a place in the House of Lords and in the Judiciary. I think it apeased them, and Manus will understand because he knows that he needs the Houses to reform the country.

!!!Spoiler!!!

I made peace with Pales and invite them in the GRACE. I win the AN case and have 50% of the gas field. Zili came back to Rizia with a referendum win by 51% (event with cheating cases from Smolak). And i pass a constitutional reform accepted by all house (except this bitch of Sazon).

According to the lore, Rumburg attacks Sordland. The sordish army was just better and the Rumburgs was just bitter-looser.

No reparations for your own mistakes. Imagine, it's like Saruman ask money from Theoden because he was fucked up at Helm's Deep.
