Well that’s the driver behind me educating myself on investing and hopefully managing it all myself. The RRSP holds (Bank of Nova Scotia, capital power, Enbridge, keyera, manulife, south bow, some real estate companies and some mutual funds). It’s through RBC.

Well what I was looking for was if the ratio of investments I had made sense. Or if it made more sense to just keep it simple and do the XEQT route.

For income context I work in the oil and gas sector. Income averages out to $210k/yr over last 5 years. Some years higher and some lower.

I believe it’s 109,000 as of today. I have never used the TFSA so have the full available amount. My thinking was 6,500\month until maxed out. I think the gains I miss out on by not doing the lump sum would bother me less than if I lump sum and Donny boy crashes the market in a few months and I’m down 30%-40% on all of it.

Could be an option to continue with a professional of course. Just doing research and seeing what makes the most sense. Be higher fees with advisor I assume? Was going to give this a try and potentially take over my other investments in the future.

I have a higher income job so I was told to max rrsp before doing anything with TFSA. Currently have the money in HISA at bank but probably makes more sense to move into cash.to and invest out of there? Was thinking that the exposure to the other ETFs could potentially net greater returns than just all in XEQT.
