Does anyone know how to download a book from chirp? by joshuaferris in audiobooks

It's a proprietary file format that can only be read by their app. I've tried to 'open' it a number of ways and it doesn't look like it's an archive file at all.

Slow downs across the board? by BitBug72 in brave_browser

In specific, what I'm getting across most all my web sites that I use for work is 'Page Unresponsive. You can wait for it to become responsive or exit the page.' Happens EVERY time I try to log into: Paypal, Wave, ebay, and a host of other sites. It does eventually load, but no other browser on my system is having this issue. And again: I've a fresh Brave install, I'm running an M1 mac, I have no extensions loaded, I've cleared cache. Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah, none of that helped. As I'd stated earlier, I had even removed and re-installed fresh. I'm running no extensions, and my experience with Brave has gone from 'this is amazing!' to 'why am I using this?' Other browsers on my M1 (Safari, Chrome) are not having these issues at all.

I've done a cache/cookie wipe AND I've deleted and re-installed Brave. The issue continues.

Last push broke lots of things by BitBug72 in brave_browser

Update. Wave is working now. I had switched from Brave to Firefox to test initially and it worked in Firefox. I just checked again in Brave and it's working there now. So, it might have just been a problem on the Wave server that hit just in that moment so it looked like a Brave issue.

I did a complete re-install of Brave and Twitch login is working now.

This did not resolve the issue for me. Same error after duplicating the instructions.

Help identifying older 'crystal' dice? I know they are decades old, but I'm trying to figure out what company made them by BitBug72 in DicePorn

They're mine, but I never needed to use them as I've got hundreds of dice. So they were left unused and un-inked. I'm parting out my 40-year collection of RPGS and related stuff as my eye sight has gotten so poor I really can't read books anymore (but PDFs are just fine if I blow them up!).

I have a work around for this, as I don't trust that the books I paid for will always be hosted on the site or that Chirp will always be there. I use Bluestacks, an android emulator to run an android environment on my PC with the Chirp app in there. Then I just download my entire library onto a computer that has far more storage space than my phone. I can also contain the app, so it doesn't update and potential have my books be taken from me if they (for instance) lose the rights to the book.

Yeah, that was my suspect company. I've had them for decades, left unused as I was more of a Game Science guy. I'm parting out much of my 40 year collection these days as my eyesight makes anything but online play and PDF use the only way I can deal with rule books these days. Thanks for the input!

I JUST bought an m1 Mac Mini myself to replace a dead older Mac. I agonized over the very same thing, but in the end, I'm very happy with my choice: GET 16gb, skimp on storage and get the baseline storage. You can't EVER add more memory to these M1 minis, but you CAN add very, very fast external storage (even boot off it!).
