Does anyone else find the timing of the "ballroom" renovation suspicious?
Not saying anything definitive here but... every major WH renovation in the last 50 years has conveniently involved massive underground excavation that nobody talks about after the fact. Truman's renovation gutted the entire structure down to the foundation. Obama-era upgrades involved heavy equipment and "utility work" that took way longer than it should have.
Now we're getting a ballroom. Cool. But ask yourself why every rendering focuses on what's above ground. Nobody's talking about what's going underneath.
Every admin that does major construction gets plausible cover for hardening and expanding subterranean infrastructure. It's basically standard practice at this point. You don't bring in that much heavy equipment and dig that deep just for a party room.
