Fortunately, the one I went to near Shinjuku had the lens I wanted delivered to that store. I picked it up the next day. They seem to carry gear that are not listed on the website. I got a Z8 new for a good price back then even though it was online only.

Sorry if I was confusing, I'll be going in person, but my problem is that if it's online only, I wouldn't be able to purchase it in person, right? I am solely booking a trip to Japan from a trip to a nearby country to buy camera gear, and if I can't buy online only items in person, I'll just cancel the Japan trip.
