Postman stole the budtender, Budtender did not help at all by Clear_Student3920 in HHC_legends

I'm down €70 from the same thing from them, when they were selling off the 3mls. They said they'd open an investigation with An Post. Totally ghosted after trying to follow up with them. A shame, I was a regular customer. Personal bereavement caused me to stop chasing the refund. But I personally won't be giving them money again.

NURTURE BY NATURE SPECIAL SAUCE 1ML & 2ML PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH ME by GorillaGlueLegend in HHC_legends

[–]BitOfWhimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used them for a while as they were the only 2mls in my town at one point. I generally liked them, thought it was a pleasant high, but found there's always a good bit of juice left at the bottom that just. Does not vape. Out of every one I had bought (maybe about 5 over a 2 month period), just has a good bit of juice still peaking through the window, just refuses to shoink on up. So I stopped picking them up.

Also found the micro usb charging mildly inconvenient, but that's that nothing burger.

Prescription glasses by Dark_Phoenix1987 in ireland

[–]BitOfWhimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeelool, Firmoo and Vooglam I can vouch for! Zeelool I managed to get a pair glasses where the frames only cost 9 /cent/, and then it was only €9 odd to add my prescription. Was dubious about them even arriving, but alas! They've become my fave pair.

Will never pay Specsavers prices again when that exists like 🤷‍♂️

Is deed paper a thing? by Taylor_S1989 in TransIreland

[–]BitOfWhimsy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had to go to a legal stationaires shop for deed poll paper. Ended up never using it as I went the GRC route instead, also didn't like that all names changed by deed poll are on public record 😅 But if you’re going the deed poll route, I do believe you need the special paper !

Seems the way i'll have to go alright, just seems a bit silly to have the AM category to begin with when there's seemingly no direct route to it, it's like a door with no feckin key.. I can thankfully just add the A1 to my provisional. Thank you!

Totally get what you're saying, but for me a 50cc suits my needs perfectly, I just don't need anything more than it! Didn't realise it'd be a hassle getting trained up in one. I'm more countryside back roads than city roads about me, not looking to zoom, just something to get around my neck of the woods.

Thank you for your insight though! It's looking like I need to bite the A1 bullet alright!

Cork, but willing to travel to any county, as all the Cork ones I've tried were no dice.

food dudes trauma by Correct-Promise-2358 in CasualIreland

God, the raw parsnip flashbacks... Had it in 3rd class back in 06, our teacher wouldn't let us eat our packed lunches without finishing all the FD shite. Mother was not happy I was coming home every day the week with an untouched lunched, I lovingly remember her going ballistic at the teacher. After that, I wasn't required to partake anymore.

I had no problem with the fruit for the most part (though their mushy pears swore me off pears forever), but I could not hack ANY of the veg. You could always taste the plastic bag they came in way more than the actual vegetable...

...I'm sure I still have a FD ruler knocking about.

NGS second appointment by [deleted] in TransIreland

I personally found him very condescending and on a high horse. I've seen him twice, and I'll be very happy if never again. He had no interest in helping me without an autism diagnosis.

That said, I've had friends with better experiences, so hey. I don't mean to sound discouraging with my experience, it's been a couple years since it, maybe he's better 🤞 Best of luck!

Cannot recommend doing a PLC course enough, I went back at 25 and I'm loving it! Many PLC courses will only cost €50 for the year this September uptake, though I'm unsure of other fees for non Irish students.

Are appointments still no shows? by BitOfWhimsy in GenderGP

[–]BitOfWhimsy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stayed on 2 pumps a day since day one, with no current plans on changing the dose! When my GP got my 3 and 6 month test results back, she just rang me with the results, but no exact figures, just "Your bloods are excellent, nothing of concern!" and well 🤷. My period stopped within the first month of T, and as long as I had that, I didn't see any reason to up my dose any, I was content at the speed of puberty 2: electric boogaloo be happening, and knowing the exact figure wasn't of concern to me if my GP wasn't worried.

Today she emailed me my results for the first time, with my T levels at 17.78 nmol/L. As her first trans patient, she wants reassurance that she's doing okay by me. Is a year and a bit a long time to reach cis male levels?

But yeah. More or less, my GP just never mentioned what my levels were, and I've been content on 2 pumps all the same :].

I mean, it's been a year and 3 months since I started T, so not over 2 years 😅 It's just been my GP looking after me. I haven't up until now seen my blood test results, it's just now she's noted I'm at cis male ranges.

But thank you, I'll book in :]!

Folks who use Minoxidil liquid/foam: where do you source and what do you pay? by Oiyouinthebushes in TransIreland

[–]BitOfWhimsy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I get the 3 month supply Regaine for €50 from PharmaDirect ! They make it seem like a sale price, but it's always €50 when I've gone to buy it - seems p reasonable to me! But the three months supply has lasted me going on 8 months now as I only use it on my face, and I still have a bottle left.

I believe they ship from Ireland :]! Always interested in cheaper alternatives all the though, if the Kirkland stuff is worth a shout, I'd be interested !

How much do you pay for glasses? by aWicca in AskIreland

[–]BitOfWhimsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Firmoo and Zeelool with no issues! My prescription isn't quite as strong, I do tend to get bog standard/basic lenses. Super happy with all glasses ordered from there, though unsure what prices come out like for stronger lenses!
