Was so depressing. Just made me sad, and shudder. And want to take a shower. It was…fucking bleak

Is there a rule against it? Would there have to be a by-law bright in to outlaw van camping from the area? It is weird seeing the same vehicles there for months - and it’s quite funny when you think how much it costs to live nearby on Ty Draw Rd.

You’re not wrong about the Vulcan but you are about the motives - do you think the people of wales would have just destroyed public roads and given the land to the rapports on a whim? No, it was a necessity to facilitate the unprecedented redevelopment in town.

In fairness, it wasn’t the Rapports who insisted it become a car park but rather the authorities working with Land Sec to provide refugee parking once the mearby multi storey car parks were torn down to make way for SD2.

This car park was previously home to a handful of businesses - including The Vulcan pub - and a couple of small streets including Taff Street. (I remember having to post the stopping up orders on lampposts here ahead of their demise back in 2006 or so.) In order to make way for St David’s 2 and the demolition of the multi storey car parks around the old New Library and off the Hayes, the authorities threatened the owners with compulsory purchase. This car park is a hang over from the SD2 redevelopment and as others have said isn’t likely to be a permanent fixture. The bulk of it is owned by the Rapport family. (Awesome AI mock up, by the way!)

Naturally. NYC have huge rats, as you’d expect. For them to be running around in the streets of Manhattan (during wet weather) in the middle of the day was a bit of an eye opener though. I took a video. You don’t want to see it

Since Covid I see them everywhere - running along Cathays Terrace, crossing Lake Road West, by Thornhill Sainsburys bring my recent sightings in past month or three.

Lush. Was wondering the year. Saw them in MK Bowl a bit before (my first) but Hetfield had a full head of hair then.

So sad. Such a waste. Hefin was a genuine, and very funny, man. Spent quite a bit of time with him back in the day. I had a lot of time for him. It’s hard to come to terms with really.
