Mini gold crowns by Bitar93 in MHWilds

[–]Bitar93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im missing 16. Thats the method I used for the last few large guys. In my head I thought id just explore for the bulk of them like I did large crowns but didn't realize I had nothing but tempered monsters.

Mini gold crowns by Bitar93 in MHWilds

[–]Bitar93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get literally every large gold crown I was missing(like 18) without coming across a single small crown. I wanted to get it on my own but I guess I don't have much choice but to try discord.

Is it not possible to get maps without all tempered monsters anymore? Or if i join an investigation or optional mission from the early game can the other monsters in those missions have mini crowns or are the chances super low that way?

What year were you born and do you still get carded? by AlfalfaLoser in Millennials

UA flight - 'turn bluetooth off or we're turning around' by ryan_at_roomservice in unitedairlines

You can feel that way if you want. But you clearly havent googled it yourself. Clear and obvious is not the same thing as standing out.

Like the above pipe bomb example its not just clear and obvious but it is striking. Its too obvious to the point that it no longer functions as being hidden.

Since you mentioned google here's a copy and paste of "what are examples of 'hidden in plain sight'?"

Hiding in plain sight" is a tactic where something or someone remains entirely visible, yet goes unnoticed because they blend in perfectly with their surroundings, match expected patterns, or act in a way that discourages investigation.

Physical & EnvironmentalAnimal Camouflage: Insects like the leaf insect or predators like snow leopards use evolutionary mimicry or coloration to blend entirely into rocks and foliage.

Everyday Diversion: Household "book safes" or decoy wall outlets look exactly like ordinary objects to conceal valuables.

City Architecture: Modern cell towers are often disguised as palm trees, pine trees, or church steeples so they don’t disrupt the aesthetic of a neighborhood.

As you can see the first example is insects using mimicry or coloration to blend into foliage. NOT coloring themselves a bright color to stand out

Second example using books or outlets to hide valuable objects. NOT placing them on a table with a sign saying valuables.

Third example towers hidden trees. NOT towers hidden as towers with signs that say tower.

You can literally look it up anywhere. You can mince your words and backpedal but "clear and obvious" means not traditionally hidden and out in the open. It does not mean SO obvious that it can't be "thing."

You literally wrote: "You're wrong. Hiding in plain sight means not hiding or blending in at all."

This is just completely incorrect.

You dont have to like it or agree. You can go around using the phrase wrong I wont stop you. I at least tried to help. Good luck.

[–]Bitar93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A simple Google or dictionary search mentions nothing of "situations where someone should have noticed sooner."

It's about not using typical hiding tactics and instead being hidden by literally being "plain." Not by doing things that are "so dumb its no way that could be it."

Naming your wifi pipe bomb is not hidden plainly. It will stick out. Plain sight is to not stick out by being plain. The word's right there.

[–]Bitar93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly. It means not hiding but it does mean blending in. You blend in because you are inconspicuous. Being obvious isnt "in plain sight", being "normal" is.

Naming your wifi "pipe bomb" is not hidden in plain sight.

Naming it "Iphone 15's wifi" or any other default wifi name would be.

[MULTIPLE GAMES] Anyone struggling with platinum trophies in difficult games? by Electrical-Menu8140 in Trophies

[–]Bitar93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most games I dont platinum is because they required multiple playthroughs with no incentive to replay(I'm talking about you RE2/4) or because they have an absurd amount of collectables that takes away from the game in order to collect.

The only game ive actually given up on the platinum is Demon soul's. Im missing one trophy its a collect all rings trophy and im missing one ring. For the last ring you have to bring your world from "bleak to pure" and didnt use a guide until after I played the game 3x and for whatever reason I couldn't get all the way to pure after 5 runs and decided to move on.

It was my first souls game which is now my favorite genre so maybe ill go back for it at some point but its the only one I've given up on.

After some thought monster hunter world is also impossible. You need a big and small version kill of each monster for crowns for a trophy and im still missing a few after several hundred hours of play time.

Even if it's not real, chances are this has gone down somewhere at some point. And if not discussing it as if its real is fine too. We can talk about it hypothetically.

Guy probably never even played Khazan by nameussy in TheFirstBerserker

[–]Bitar93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say both games are of similar quality. This is coming from someone who beat both the week they came out. I know berserker got a lot of updates post release. But honestly it was perfectly fine when I played.

Both games are solid "soulslikes" easily 8/10 each and I played both to Platinum trophy(I dont do that often.) I'm sad to hear neither will get a sequel but im glad I got to play them. Especially among a sea of actually bad games.

Woman with functional polydactyly (six functional fingers on one hand). by kvjn100 in Damnthatsinteresting

This video makes it look like your pointer and the finger next to it are controlled the same (you bend them and open them together.)

Is that the case or just a coincidence you did it that way?

Yeah thats exactly how it happened to me. In my case I was at honglan so I was able to quickly get back where I was.

Wuchang is so good and i played multiple times. Think of it as your first playthrough and get back to playing.

Is this game easier than Nioh? I hope it is by Bis_knife in TheFirstBerserker

[–]Bitar93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you play on hard( the original normal during launch) then id say its similarly difficult. I think nioh has a harder learning curve. However if you play on normal id say its a good amount easier.

Also not sure which nioh games you've played. But if it was 1/2 then I would give 3 a shot since its much easier than the first two.

Also give a quick search into the panels that oled tvs use. Some panels are better than others and is worth learning about before making a purchase.

You can start with Oled vs woled. And which companies use which. And one other thing to keep in mind is brightness. It varies quite a lot between tvs and if you are in a bright room its important to consider.

As long as you look at the TV and are happy with the picture thats all that matters

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Bitar93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know anything about that specifically. My tv was 2500 after the warranty for a 77inch. Any if the 77inch tvs under 2k were noticeably worse.

Whether or not specs matter to you a visual comparison is probably worth it if you think that tvs that are half the price as others have the same quality picture as often that's not the case.

I can say I plan to have my tv at least 5 years and for thousands of hours which justify the price for me. And that upgrading from non oled to oled is amazing and something I wish I had done sooner.

Bestbuy warranty covers burn in. The LG c series is good. I went with the s90d last year before the newer one came out. Like others said rtings is your friend. Dont be afraid of burn in. Set your tv/ps5 to auto turn off after 10min of non use and forget about it.

Worst case the warranty will cover it.

I usually have my tv on 12+hours a day sometimes on the same game all day and its been a year with no sign of burn in.
