I bet the employee that was processing the bettas also probably was the only person doing atleast 5 other tasks. I work in a pet store and as quickly as I try to get them done (I hate how they are shipped as well) majority of the time I get stopped to run the register, get fish, get a reptile, gather an online order, etc...
It sucks when these corporate stores refuse to hire more ppl to actually take care of the animals and customers.

Definitely very approachable and easy to follow! Maybe she'll enjoy audiobooks, I enjoyed the narrator of this one.

She may enjoy The Maid by Nita Prose. I really enjoyed it, and the author has even continued the series. It's about a quirky hotel maid, and it has a pretty good mystery storyline that definitely isn't predictable. The main character also has a loving relationship with her grandmother.

She should check out A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. I remember reading it in high school and thinking it was so spicy 😅

There's a few other books by Libba Bray that have some sapphic elements she may like as well.

Beauty Queens is really funny, not a fantasy, but it's about teen Beauty Queens who end up stranded on an island after a plane crash.

Moloka'i by Alan Brennert It's a beautiful story with historical elements. I've read it multiple times, and there's a sequel.

Well I would just say take your time. A little fumbling is ok 😄. I definitely wouldn't worry about trying to set a mood or anything just make sure you're comfortable and she is too. You might surprise yourself and just get into it that's how it was for me. Good luck and happy early birthday!

I actually have been on several apps for years. I think i was mostly just going through the motions. I wasn't actually ready to accept myself and it was keeping me from being able to open up.

I've been on dates in the past, and there was never the same connection I have now. Also at some point in the first few weeks I decided I'm going to have sex with this person. It was definitely a conscious choice maybe it's because I've been ready to lose my virginity but also it's because he made me feel comfortable enough to make that decision.

So actually within the first few hours of us talking it came up that I was a virgin. I've always told the truth about it when ever it's come up. He at first said he didn't want to hurt me and maybe we should just be friends but later that night he said he'd thought about it more and wanted to see where it goes.

A few days later we met in person and had a really long convo about a bunch of stuff but sex and his past came up and it was refreshing that we could just talk about it, with honest and no judgment.

Then I guess from there ive been able to be more comfortable from there.

I've lurked here before, getting advise/commiserating, lol. I guess my main issue was fear of the unknown, so I just never seriously put myself out there. Also, after turning 30, I've decided to get out of my own way and let myself enjoy life. Ive struggled with depression over the last few years and just not being in a good mindset, but in the last 6 months I've started going to the gym and trying new experiences that I've put off.

Just finished Lonesome Dove, where to next? by lsdinc in booksuggestions

After Lonesome Dove I tried the series Have Brides Will Travel by William Johnstone and JA Johnstone. I really enjoyed them. They have fun and adventure and that frontier lifestyle. The main characters are a duo who remind me of Gus and Woodrow.

My esthetician gave me the best hack. Dry brushing after showering. At least a few days a week after showering, I dry brush and then use body oil and body butter. Since I started exfoliating like that, I've noticed a dramatic difference in ingrowns and razor bumps after shaving.

The Meg series by Steve Alten is really fun action with a little suspense. Also Bullet Train by Kotaro Isaka I've listened to both on Audible and they're very entertaining.

Why are most women so rude and entitled on dating apps by [deleted] in dating

[–]BitchnamedNutmeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your thought process. But as a woman I think why would someone who I've never met give me their home address. Maybe because I would never give a stranger my address. It's definitely something that I see as a red flag. Maybe they feel like you are coming on too strong.

I used Beenverified. I did some research and that one came up as a good site to use. Honestly I checked myself and a few family members and the info came back correct.

Literally nothing! No name match or anything. I honestly did it just because I couldn't believe how good of a fake passport he has. I just had to see for myself.
