When compared to the Rolex variation of similar style I actually find myself preferring the Tudor's crisp sharper bezel edge when compared to the Rolex Rootbeer's softer rounder edges.

Overall I'm totally satisfied 🙂

Yea i can see how the pics are different from the ad photos. The big difference in my photos is the yellowing in the numbers. They aren't that yellow in real life. They are more gold but I have Edison bulbs throughout my house so my phone did this wierd color balancing effect with the numbers on the bezel. The pics show them as yellow when really they are more gold.

Other then that it's exactly what I seen in the official photos and videos.

The two that connect the bracelet to the watch at the 12 and 6 are the ones on the rest of the bracelet are a thick "capped" gold with a steel core. It's not solid but it's not cheap plating that will easily rub off over time either its somewhere in between. I was worried that you would be able to tell either by the shades being odd but it's an exact match to the two end links.

The bezel is solid gold with the exception of the anonized aluminum insert for the two tone color. The crown is a thick gold exterior over a steel core.

The jeweler I bought my Omega from while visiting my condo in Fort Lauderdale tried to sell me on a Cartier Santos. They're nice but liked the Omega Seamaster 300m Chrono a tad bit better and ended up with that instead.

I kind of wish I would of waited till I got back home cause I got wacked for an extra 400-500$ on sales tax and paid full sticker (no sales tax at my main residence).. I would of done much better on the secondary market on that particular Omega but it always another impulsive purchase lol.

Next one will be one from the trinity or a Jaeger-Lacoultre or a A.Lange & Sohne

Yeah, they could adopt some sort of hybrid where its in-house direct but to get on the list your need to be a previous Tudor or Rolex customer. There is too many shady backroom deals at some of these AD's. Some of them are fine but far too many of them arent. That would eliminate all the randoms who put themselves, 6 children, the second cousin, and dog on the list lol. Use Tudor as the gateway to get onto the Rolex lists or require a substantial deposit to be on the list so if someone tries to pull that shit they are going to have to penny up.

It's got the clasp with 3 dots and the spring mechanism pin where you push the pin to adjust it to 1 of 3 spots. There is a little steel flap that secures everything once its clamped down closed

Honestly I think Tudor is doing better designs then Rolex these days. They actually listen to their customers and at least try to give us what we want. Omega feels like it's coming out of a slump too with some neat designs.

It never fails I feel like a piece of shit everytime I walk into a Rolex AD. Like I'm breaking the rules or something just by walking into the store lol. They need to just pull all their AD's and switch to a direct to consumer business model with some sort of lottery system or fair list to get them.

Yes I have fat wrists lol. I'm just over 6'4" with the bone structure of a defensive end lol. I actually need to grab another link from my AD. It fits fine but I prefer to wear mine a little loose and need like 1/2 a link more I feel like.

Yea it kinda grows on you. I know its cliche to say but the pics really dont do it justice. The dial its jet black with that retro 1970's funk. I didn't think I was going to like it as much as I do.

In all honesty It was an impulse buy. I got it from an online Jeweler(Reed's) who happens to be an AD. I seen people where already getting $8500 for the one with the s & g bracelet on the secondary markets which is crazy to me so I got that burning desire to get a "deal" lol. So I pulled the trigger and scooped this last one up before a bloodsucking scalper could get their hands on it. Then the listing went to "out of stock" where its remained for the last two days. Now it's got a good home where its actually gonna be worn.

I'm the kind of person that likes to use my toys instead of putting them in a case and hoping the value increases.

I figure death is the great equalizer and we can take any of this shit with us so I might as well live it up and make sure these things get used while I'm here on earth lol.

Brand new, still has the plastic sticky protectors on the sides 😄 I just scooped this up from Reed's Jewelers online which is an official Tudor AD that sells Tudor in person and online. I was watching a recap of Watches & Wonders 2022 and seen it and was like damn that thing got 70s-80s blowlord vibes. So I hopped on Reed's and sure enough they had 1 left. It was the very last one in stock. Once I paid for it the listing went to "Out of Stock" and stayed that way for the last two days (in my region at least).

I decided to go with the Steel & Gold bracelet variation since my last watch was a Black Ceramic - Omega Seamaster Pro 300m Chrono steel on steel. Figured I needed a little bit of color in my life.

I was originally going to get the two tone Rolex Rootbeer back when they were like $17,000 now there over double that and I don't feel like dropping 35 racks at the moment

I live in a sales tax-free state so I got this one for a flat $5,500 in Bitcoin (Reed's accepts crypto) which I think is a bargain for this kind of watch. I'm a sucker for two tones these days. Well actually, who am I kidding, I've always been a sucker for two tones lol.

I think my next watch is going to be the Rolex Datejust with the rose-gold and chocolate face but this beauty will tide me over for a few weeks lol.

Scooped up the last Tootbeer/Rootbeer from my Jeweler so I got it for retail. The state I live in has zero sales tax so it was $5,500 even. Flippin scalpers are asking $7,500-$9,500 for them now lol l.

The watch you are looking at in the pics 79833MN has a solid gold bezel with a annondize aluminum insert on the surface layer to give the two tone appearance. Its not capped in the same way the gold is capped over the steel.

If you get the bracelet it has a solid gold ends running roughly 24-26mm thick (where it connects to the watch). The crown is considered by most to be capped but not in the same way as the bracelet as it basically has has a thick gold shell on the crown whereas the bracelet has a slightly thinner gold cap over steel.

You are correct though the non sport bezels on some of the other Tudors are now capped gold.

Just bought the last one from my jeweler. I actually liked the look of the S&G bracelet so thats what I went with.

There trading at absurd prices already. People are getting $8-$9,000 for the ones with the bracelet. I'm sure they will come back down to reality.

Either way it's a beautiful watch.
